Using Creaking Heart Item in Minecraft: A Comprehensive Guide

Minecraft Live 2024 has unveiled the Pale Garden biome, which features unique creaking hearts that connect to new mobs. Within the Pale Garden, these creaking hearts play a crucial role in generating creaking mobs during the night and manipulate them like puppets. A creaking’s survival is directly linked to its connected creaking heart. But what are the practical applications of these blocks?

With the appropriate tools and enchantments, you can gather creaking heart blocks from the Pale Garden biome in Minecraft and utilize them elsewhere by simply knowing where to go.

To successfully collect a creaking heart without destroying it in Minecraft, ensure you have a tool that is enchanted with the Silk Touch enchantment. The type of tool is irrelevant, as long as it possesses Silk Touch.

Next, venture into the Pale Garden biome and look for the glowing orange texture on the pale oak trees at night (be cautious of any creakings that may pose a threat).

To easily identify a connected creaking heart, wait for nighttime in the Pale Garden biome and strike a creaking with your bare hands or a weapon/tool. You will notice spore-like particles that reveal the location of the creaking’s connected creaking heart.

From that point, approach the creaking heart, break it using the Silk Touch tool, and collect it. Note that doing so will eliminate any connected creakings.

Creaking hearts can be used to activate and spawn creakings outside of the Pale Garden biome in Minecraft, provided they are utilized correctly.

Specifically, you’ll need two pale oak logs (stripped logs are acceptable) or two blocks of pale oak wood (note that pale oak wooden planks and their variations will not work here). Arrange the logs or wood in the same orientation as the creaking heart.

By placing two pale oak logs or wood blocks either vertically or horizontally, and positioning the creaking heart between them in the same direction, the creaking heart will emit an orange glow. This indicates that the connection is proper, and it will begin spawning creakings once night falls, regardless of the biome or distance from the Pale Garden.

Once a creaking is spawned, it will connect to the creaking heart just as it would within the Pale Garden. However, its stealthiness may be diminished when it roams other biomes.

Regardless, similar to how it operates in the Pale Garden, destroying the creaking heart will also eliminate the connected creaking.
