ASUS Hints at the Imminent Arrival of AMD’s Radeon RX 9070 Series GPUs
The announcement of AMD’s next-generation RDNA 4 graphics architecture caught many off guard, particularly since the company did not showcase the GPUs during their CES 2025 keynote. Instead, they opted to share only preparatory slides with the press. Nevertheless, AMD later clarified that the RX 9070 series will be highlighted at a dedicated event, though an exact release date remains unconfirmed. That said, ASUS and other AIB partners have begun to build excitement via social media, indicating that a launch is right around the corner.

While ASUS’s post does not disclose a specific launch date, it does hint that the RX 9070 series WeUs are “coming soon,”which could mean they will hit the market shortly. Reports suggest that AMD will begin taking pre-orders for these RDNA 4 GPUs starting January 23rd, just around the corner. Retailers are reportedly already equipped with these WeUs and await approval from AMD to kick off the RX 9070 series launch.
To give potential buyers an idea about the pricing landscape, the Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 are anticipated to be priced within the $300 to $1,000 range. This positions them strategically against NVIDIA’s 70 and 80-series GPUs. Currently, the exact MSRP is yet to be clarified, but predictions indicate that the RX 9070 XT could retail for approximately $500 to $600. For context, the Gigabyte Radeon RX 9070 XT Gaming OC 16G has recently been listed by a retailer for $529.
As we eagerly await the RX 9070 series launch, expectations are high. AMD’s strategy seems focused on delivering outstanding performance per dollar, crucial for competing in the mainstream graphics card segment. Retailers are slated to begin accepting pre-orders by January 23rd, suggesting that we can expect an official RDNA 4 event shortly thereafter.
