Upcoming Event Teased in Pokemon TCG Pocket Leak

Overview of the Upcoming Distribution Event

  • A recent Pokémon TCG Pocket leak suggests a distribution event for rare cards from February 27 to April 30.
  • Players may obtain iconic rare cards such as Pikachu, Charizard, and Mewtwo during the Genetic Apex Expansion event.

Exciting new details have emerged regarding the Pokémon TCG Pocket with a leak hinting at a distribution event designed to benefit dedicated players. Similar to physical card games, players can enhance their collections by acquiring rare cards through booster packs, eagerly hoping for lucky draws or accumulating pack points for crafting specific cards.

In Pokémon TCG Pocket, cards are categorized by their rarity. The least rare are classified as one-diamond, while the most prestigious are designated as crown cards. Diamond rarity cards are guaranteed to appear in the first three slots of a booster pack, whereas crown cards exhibit a mere 0.040% drop rate in the fourth slot and a slightly better, yet still difficult 0.16% in the fifth slot. Therefore, players seeking these coveted cards will need a blend of patience and serendipity. However, the latest leak brings optimistic news for collectors.

According to an announcement on Pokemon Zone, players can look forward to a distribution event featuring four-diamond rarity cards or higher. This event is set to commence on February 27 and will offer three booster packs from the Genetic Apex expansion, inclusive of cards featuring Pikachu, Charizard, and Mewtwo. Notably, while players will have a shot at these rare cards, only the fifth card in each booster pack will be rare; the first four will consist of standard cards. Players have until April 30 to claim these exclusive packs from their Gift Box.

The four-diamond rarity cards from the Genetic Apex set feature beloved characters such as Mewtwo, Blastoise, and Exeggutor. Rarity increases with the one-star cards representing full art versions, two-star cards denoting full art ex and trainer versions, and three-star cards showcasing immersive Pokémon TCG Pocket representations. The elusive crown rarity cards, which include striking ex cards featuring golden backgrounds of Pikachu, Charizard, and Mewtwo, pose the greatest challenge for collectors.

As with all leaked information, players are advised to remain cautious as official confirmation from the developers is still pending. Meanwhile, several events are currently active. One such event offers promotional cards, including the sought-after Cresselia ex, accessible only through this event, similar to the recent Lapras special promotion. Additionally, a PvP event is underway, where participants can earn themed badges related to the new Space-Time Smackdown expansion.
