In the enchanting world of Strange Antiquities, players have access to an extensive library of books that delve into the enigmatic nature of the antiques housed within their shop. These resources cover a plethora of topics, from intricate symbols to the properties of various gemstones, providing valuable insights to assist you in meeting the demands of the townsfolk in Undermere.
As you engage with the community, you will encounter the phenomenon of curses, prompting you to seek guidance from Dr. Robertson. Her specialized booklet on curses becomes an essential tool in navigating these challenges.
Receiving the Request
On Day 9, a character named Wyatt Collins pays a visit to your shop, expressing distress over a cursed book he received from the Guilty Ram tavern. Since perusing the first page of this tome, he has been plagued by horrifying nightmares. After consulting with Dr. Robertson, he was directed to seek your help. Regrettably, she omitted any mention of the curse afflicting him, leaving you to retrieve her essential booklet, which is hidden in a cupboard accessed through a secret mechanism in your counter.
Finding the Cupboard

As you survey the shop, look for a discreet wheel located at the lower left of the middle section. Interacting with this mechanism will unveil a hidden cupboard adorned with a delicately embossed flower silhouette.
Although pushing on the cupboard won’t yield results initially, placing a suitable artifact on the flower symbol will initiate a mechanism, allowing it to open like a lock.
Discovering the Right Artifact: The Eureka Moment
At this juncture, you may encounter some frustration, as not all artifacts will work in opening the cupboard. However, there exists one piece that closely resembles the flower silhouette—so much so that it appears nearly perfect but lacks the necessary extended points for a fit. It might seem impossible to modify existing artifacts, yet a closer inspection reveals a solution: by touching the petals on this specific artifact, they extend outward.
By adjusting the four petals to align with the keyhole, you can successfully place the artifact on the cupboard, unlocking it to reveal the coveted booklet on curses along with an additional antique for future use.
Completing the Request
Upon reviewing the booklet, you’ll discover that Wyatt is afflicted by a condition known as Noctic Sight. Referring to your collection of antiques, you find this affliction detailed in the entry for the Moonstone Guardian, which requests an artifact embodying a comforting protector.
Scanning your inventory, you identify an unmistakable artifact in the form of a cherished cat, which is perfectly suited to counteract Wyatt’s distress. Presenting this item to him may finally grant him the peaceful slumber he so desperately needs.
