After almost ten years of captivating audiences, Stranger Things will wrap up with its fifth season, debuting later this year. This remarkable statistic speaks volumes about its impact on the streaming landscape.
Throughout the series, viewers have witnessed the cast transition from childhood to adulthood, with several members venturing into notable projects since. For example, Noah Schnapp has lent his voice to Charlie Brown in the Peanuts franchise, Gaten Matarazzo stars as Michael in Honor Society, and Millie Bobby Brown has taken the lead in the Enola Holmes series. The show’s blend of nostalgic 1980s elements and gripping storylines, coupled with a diverse and talented ensemble, has solidified its place in television history. As fans prepare for the final season, they are receiving a rare insight into the show through behind-the-scenes images highlighting the body doubles for key characters.
Behind-the-Scenes: Body Doubles of Stranger Things Cast

A recent post on Reddit unveiled a unique behind-the-scenes photograph showcasing the body doubles of main characters from Stranger Things. The image features doubles for Mike Wheeler, Will Byers, Lucas Sinclair, and Dustin Henderson, all gathered under a tent during filming. However, it appears that the stand-ins for Eleven and Max were not included in this particular shot. The necessity for utilizing body doubles largely stems from the presence of minors among the cast, ensuring their safety during demanding action sequences.

According to Hiro Koda, the show’s stunt coordinator, many actors prefer to perform their own stunts. Stars like Joe Keery, David Harbour (who portrays Hopper), and Dacre Montgomery (Billy) actively engage in their action sequences, demonstrating their appreciation for the thrill. Koda noted that Harbour typically studies the techniques of professional stunt performers before participating in the choreography himself.

In an emotional moment, Sadie Sink, who plays Max, confessed that the series finale affected her deeply, prompting her to take some props from the set as keepsakes. Among her prized possessions are Max’s beloved Walkman, used to listen to her iconic Kate Bush songs, as well as her shoes and skateboard. Additionally, Sink is set to star in the musical film O’Dessa, which is scheduled for release at the South by Southwest festival on March 8, 2025. As the anticipation for Stranger Things Season 5 grows, fans have begun to speculate on how the characters’ narratives might conclude.
All four seasons of Stranger Things are currently available for streaming on Netflix, with Season 5 expected to premiere in 2025.
