Unlocking the Tractor in Satisfactory: A Step-by-Step Guide
Satisfactory offers players a vast open world where they can battle various creatures and gather resources to build their ideal factory. Among the various vehicles available, players can unlock a tractor or sugar cube early in the game. This vehicle boasts unique advantages such as increased inventory slots, the ability to gather materials from truck stations, and a portable crafting station that can be taken anywhere.
With a maximum speed of 55 km/h, the tractor serves as an excellent mode of transport during the initial stages of the game. This article provides a detailed guide on how to unlock the tractor in Satisfactory.
How to Build a Tractor in Satisfactory
To unlock access to the tractor, you will need the Vehicular Transport upgrade, as this vehicle is categorized as a tier three item. The required resources for the upgrade include:
- x200 Cable
- x25 Modular Frame
- x400 Iron Plate
- x100 Rotor
After the upgrade is completed, use your build gun to construct the tractor, which will require:
- x10 Reinforced Iron Plate
- x5 Modular Frame
- x5 Rotor
Once you’ve successfully constructed the tractor using the specified materials, you can drive it across the open world or set it to autopilot mode. This tractor is essential during the early gameplay phases, as its speed of 55 km/h allows players to reach their destinations quickly, and its portable crafting station eliminates the need to locate a nearby workbench for creating new blueprints in Satisfactory.
Automate Tractor Deliveries to Optimize Gameplay in Satisfactory
Satisfactory is rich in resources, often requiring players to travel considerable distances to collect them. Transporting these resources manually can be tedious, making the tractor’s automation feature incredibly useful. The tractor can be employed to deliver resources between locations—as long as both the starting point and destination are equipped with truck stations.
Additionally, players can deploy multiple tractors to deliver resources along the same route. To establish a truck station, players must gather the following materials: x50 Cable, x15 Modular Frame, and x20 Rotor. After setting up truck stations at two different points, players can interact with them to designate one as the sender of goods and the other as the receiver. Remember that your tractor may run out of fuel, causing deliveries to halt mid-journey.
To prevent this, attach a fuel source to one of the truck stations to automatically refill the vehicle and ensure that deliveries proceed uninterrupted. Once you have designated the truck stations, drive between the two and record the route. This is the only time you’ll need to take control manually.
After the route has been recorded, you can activate the autopilot feature, allowing the tractor to autonomously commence its deliveries using the recorded path.
