These areas offer unique fishing rods that can only be obtained by unlocking both caverns. While accessing the Luminescent Cavern is relatively straightforward, gaining entry to the Crimson Cavern necessitates more effort. Unlocking the Crimson Cavern in Fisch
Locating the Crimson Cavern in Fisch is quite manageable once you know the steps involved. Your journey begins after successfully navigating the Luminescent Cavern and capturing a specific fish species with a desired mutation. Follow these detailed steps to reach the elusive Crimson Cavern:
Step 1: Access the Luminescent Cavern
The Crimson Cavern is hidden within the Luminescent Cavern, so your first task is to gather the necessary keystones to gain entry. Head to the Mysterious Crack located in the Desolate Deep, where you can submit the keystones to unlock the Luminescent Cavern. For precise navigation, utilize the GPS coordinates: 1013, -313, -4038 to locate the entrance.
Step 2: Catch the Colossal Blue Dragon
After entering the Luminescent Cavern, your next objective is to catch the elusive Colossal Blue Dragon. This unique fish has a random spawn point and appears for a limited time of 15 minutes, typically near waterfalls. Optimal conditions for catching it involve clear weather, the seasons of Spring or Summer, and utilizing Shark Head bait.
To enhance your chances, consider using a sundial totem that can help spawn the creature sooner. Prior to your expedition, gather a few Totems in Fisch to aid in your hunting efforts. It’s important to note that completing the Luminescent Cavern’s bestiary is not a prerequisite for unlocking the Crimson Cavern, but there’s more to do.
Step 3: Apply the Crimson Mutation
Upon successfully catching the Colossal Blue Dragon, the next step is to apply the Crimson mutation to it for further progress. You have a couple of options for obtaining this mutation. While it is possible to catch fishes with the Crimson mutation using the Scarlet Spincaster Rod, this rod is exclusive to the Crimson Cavern. Therefore, the only way to acquire a Crimson Colossal Blue Dragon is through the appraiser located in Moosewood.
Step 4: Interact with the Crimson Guard
With the Crimson Colossal Blue Dragon in hand, proceed to locate the Crimson Guard NPC next to the entrance of the Crimson Cavern. Use these coordinates to find the NPC: -1019, -336, -4332. Engage in conversation with the NPC and submit the Crimson Colossal Blue Dragon to unlock the door leading to the cavern.
As you successfully unlock the entrance to the Crimson Cavern in Fisch, the once red door will vanish. Equip your diving gear or activate the water bubble and plunge into the depths. At the end of the tunnel, you’ll discover the Crimson Cavern awaiting your exploration.
