For players who found themselves unimpressed by the original trio of romantic options in Love and Deepspace, there’s a silver lining: Infold Games has committed to broadening the cast of characters over time. Unlike many gacha games that introduce new characters monthly, the updates may come less frequently, ensuring each addition is meaningful.
The first new character to join the lineup after the game’s release is Sylus, who made his debut in the Version 2 update in July 2024. He brings a different vibe to the table, leaning into the “bad boy” persona, a departure from the previous romantic leads—Rafayel, Xavier, and Zayne. This addition may appeal to players who enjoy a bit of edge in their romantic storylines.
However, players should note that if you’re still in the early stages of Love and Deepspace, you might find yourself searching in vain for Sylus before you’re meant to encounter him.
Unlocking Sylus in Love and Deepspace
To date Sylus or engage with him at Destiny Café, players must first progress to the section of the narrative where he is introduced. Sylus makes his entrance at the beginning of the game’s second major chapter, titled Long-Awaited Revelry.
To reach this point, you need to complete the entire first mission, known as Ambiguous Chaos. This involves navigating through eight sub-missions and finishing the mission storyline. Only after completing this will you be in a position to build Affinity with Sylus, allowing you to romance him just like the original three characters.
It’s worth mentioning that although Love and Deepspace does offer an option to skip parts of the first chapter to get to Long-Awaited Revelry more quickly, this approach is not recommended. Skipping content can lead to significant story spoilers, particularly regarding the conclusion of Chapter One, titled Under Deepspace. If your main goal is to romance Sylus quickly, consider whether it’s worth sacrificing your overall enjoyment of the narrative.
Collecting Sylus’ Memories in Love and Deepspace
The good news for fans eager to gather collectibles related to Sylus is that his Memories can be accessed through the gacha system, as well as through various event rewards. This accessibility applies universally to players, regardless of whether they have encountered him in the storyline at this point.
