Fishing is indeed a part of the experience in Metaphor ReFantazio, complete with various specialized baits designed to attract different fish.

Unlocking Fishing in Metaphor ReFantazio

Players will gain access to fishing only after Heismay becomes part of the party. This event is pivotal and cannot be overlooked, as it integrates into the core storyline. A fishing rod is conveniently located on the main deck, where a prompt will appear for players to initiate fishing.

While fishing, there are three distinct types of bait available, which can be obtained in the following ways:

Worm Bait: Can be purchased from the Bug-Selling Boy in Martira for 100 Reeves.

Grasshopper Bait: Available from the same Bug-Selling Boy in Martira, costing 250 Reeves.

Tail Bait: This bait is notably rare compared to the others. Players can earn two Tail Baits by cleaning the Gauntlet Runner’s storage room. Additionally, a man located at Arenafront Wharf in Port Brilehaven will offer one Tail Bait in exchange for a Medicinal Herb.
