Gardening takes center stage later in the game, requiring players to develop substantial friendships and navigate to the later stage known as Merry Meadow. Build a Friendship with My Melody

Once your friendship reaches level 14, you will unlock the quest titled “Flower Power.”Building this friendship can be time-consuming since players can only present gifts to My Melody three times a day. To expedite the process, consider activating Hello Kitty’s Everyone’s Friend ability, which enhances friendship gains from gifts.

Before progressing to the Flower Power quest, players must also complete Crystal Vay-Cay, an earlier quest involving assisting My Melody around the island. Meeting both criteria will enable you to acquire the vital Watering Can. At this stage, while using the can to plant flowers is not yet possible, it is essential for future gardening endeavors.

It may be tempting to use time-skipping methods to hasten friendship gains; however, this can lead to game corruption and may restrict access to features like Multiplayer. Instead, consider using Friendship Blossoms to reset gift options. Players who opted for the Deluxe Edition of the game received Friendship Blossoms as part of their Starter Bundle.

Once your quest becomes available, approach My Melody. She will express her struggles in watering the flowers at the resort and request your assistance. To create your watering can, assemble the following materials: 5 Iron Ingots and 2 Mechanisms. Iron Ingots can be produced from Iron Ore found in Mount Hothead, whereas Mechanisms can be crafted using Gizmos, another gift from Chococat on a daily basis. Head to any crafting station once you’ve gathered the materials to create your Watering Can, which will be an active tool in your inventory, functioning like the Snorkel or Flippers.

To advance from simply watering flower buds to actively planting them, you will need to travel to Merry Meadow and meet Wish Me Mell, a key character in the gardening aspect of the game. Unlocking this area necessitates completing My Melody’s Revive The Oasis quest and initiating the Curious Caverns quest that leads you to Merry Meadow.

In Merry Meadow, Wish Me Mell acts as your guide in this lush domain. Shortly after your introduction, she will assign you your first gardening quest, “Wildflower Hustle.”In this task, she will express her desire to cultivate more flowers in that area.

During your quest, Wish Me Mell will suggest that planting flowers in proximity might yield unexpected results. You’ll be tasked with collecting 5 seeds to sow in specific plots marked with exclamation marks. After these seeds are planted, return to Wish Me Mell, who will remind you to keep an eye out for new colors and utilize your previously acquired Watering Can to hasten flower growth.

This quest serves as a fundamental introduction to gardening in the game. With the quest completed, players can explore various flower combinations using the planting plots available around Merry Meadow, allowing for a hands-on experience with floral experimentation.

Unlocking the Trowel

Using the Trowel to Rearrange Flowers and Cultivate Gardens

Much like the Watering Can, the Trowel is an indispensable tool for gardening that you obtain through a friendship quest in Hello Kitty Island Adventure. To unlock the Trowel, players must embark on the “Dig It Up”quest, which necessitates achieving level 10 friendship with Wish Me Mell and completing the earlier quest “Mulch Be Well.”

Commence this quest by conversing with Wish Me Mell, who will express her desire to rearrange the flowers in Merry Meadow. Instead of sharing her Trowel, she will provide you with plans to craft your own, enabling you to personalize your gardening experience. To create the Trowel, gather 15 Woodblocks and 5 Iron Ingots.

Woodblocks can be sourced from Sticks or Coconut, while Iron Ingots are crafted from Iron Ore. Once you have the required materials, visit a crafting bench and create the Trowel, which will be added to your tool wheel. Unlike the Watering Can, the Trowel is not always active, so you must equip it to move flowers.

To use the Trowel, approach any blooming flower and dig it up. Once the flower is in your inventory, you can plant it in any available plot in Hello Kitty Island Adventure. This allows players to curate spectacular gardens throughout the game, further enhancing the gardening gameplay mechanics. As you experiment with different flowers and tools, your gardening adventure will continue to expand and evolve.
