While the Cooking Event may be concluding in Grow a Garden, the innovative cooking mechanic is here to remain. This feature is no longer restricted to the Pig or Rat NPCs; instead, it now plays a significant role in your crafting activities, allowing you to prepare essential food items. Although the Cooking Kit has been removed from the gameplay area, unlocking it is straightforward. In this article, we will delve into how to obtain the Cooking Kit and utilize it for crafting delicious items such as burgers and corndogs.
Unlocking the Cooking Kit in Grow a Garden
As the gluttonous pig exits the game, it leaves behind valuable cooking resources, including its cauldron and recipes. However, gaining access to these elements requires some effort. The cauldron has been transformed into the Cooking Kit, a fresh and interactive item that players must unlock to enjoy its benefits.
To earn the Cooking Kit, players must complete several achievements in Grow a Garden. These achievements are categorized as follows:
- Complete all Common achievements
- Complete all Rare achievements
- Complete all Mythical achievements
Among these categories, the Common achievements are the simplest. They mainly involve basic gardening tasks such as planting, harvesting, and removing plants from your garden. In my experience, I completed these achievements in approximately 30-40 minutes of gameplay.
Utilizing the Cooking Kit in Grow a Garden
After fulfilling all the necessary quests, you can unlock the Cooking Kit by clicking the “Claim Reward”button. This essential tool will automatically join your cosmetics inventory.
To place the Cooking Kit in your garden, look for an open area in your plot. Click on the cosmetics inventory icon (represented by a hammer and spanner icon) located in the upper left corner. Then, locate the Cooking Kit and click to position it in your garden.

Once you’ve set the Cooking Kit in place, you can start preparing various food items within Grow a Garden. While there were some bugs during testing, the essential functions of the Cooking Kit are operational. Like during the Cooking Event, you can now hold fruits and approach the cauldron. The left side of the interface will display the ingredients required, while the cooking time and mutation percentage will appear on the right.
To start cooking, simply add your chosen fruits and click the green “Cook”button. Alternatively, you have the option to skip the cooking time for 39 Robux. However, one feature that is no longer available is the spinning animation while seated in the cauldron—a change many players may miss.

Notably, the Cooking Kit is crucial for crafting the new Corndog food item, which is necessary for creating the Pet Pouch consumable. This item expands your pet inventory from 60 to 110 slots, with each pouch adding one additional slot.
The integration of an interactive cosmetic like the Cooking Kit could significantly enhance Grow a Garden, paving the way for potential expansions in gameplay and crafting recipes in future updates. I am excited to see what new food items the developers will introduce. What culinary creations do you think should be added next? How might these new items be utilized?
