In Tales of the Shire: A The Lord of the Rings Game, players immerse themselves in the delightful world of Bywater, where culinary skills are put to the test in the company of Hobbits and the occasional dwarf. Cooking for this charming community forms a key aspect of the gameplay, particularly through the Shared Meals feature.
To maximize the advantages of the one Shared Meal you can host daily, it is essential to unlock various Shared Meal locations. Each venue accommodates a different number of guests, providing a wide array of options for your social gatherings.
Home
2 Guests
Your journey begins at Home, the first Shared Meal location accessible during the tutorial. Here, you share a meal with Orlo, marking the start of your culinary adventures. This location uniquely accommodates just two additional guests and allows you to retrieve food directly from the pantry, eliminating the need for pre-packaged meals.
Delphinium’s Rooftop
3 Guests
Next, venture to Delphinium’s Rooftop, the residence of local herbalist Delphi, who resides in a colossal tree. To unlock this location, you must enhance your Fellowship with Delphi to level 3, which requires sharing meals with her before conversing again. This picturesque venue is perfect for intimate dinners with three guests.
Mooma’s Island
3 Guests
Unlocking Mooma’s Island introduces a secret Shared Meal location, available after reaching Fellowship level 3 with Daisy Took and completing the quest line titled “A Missing Mooma.” This quest involves locating a toy Oliphaunt named Mooma, which Daisy lost by a river. After solving this charming puzzle, you’ll gain access to host meals with three Hobbits (and the toy Oliphaunt).

After finding the toy, check back with Willow Took for a surprise—a bridge that enables you to retrieve Mooma, thereby unlocking Mooma’s Island as a welcoming dining spot.
By utilizing either Delphinium’s Rooftop or Mooma’s Island, you’ll also achieve the Three Is Company achievement!
The Three-Farthing Stone
4 Guests
The Three-Farthing Stone, a landmark first noted in The Bywater Village Campaign Tale, provides another Shared Meal spot. You can gather with Young Tom Cotton, Sandyman, Willow Took, and Nora Burrows over The Bywater Dish. Interestingly, this location can be unlocked right from the start by interacting with its blue interaction pixels, allowing four Hobbits to join you for a meal.
The Green Dragon
4 Guests
No expedition in Bywater would be complete without a visit to The Green Dragon, a lively pub where Hobbits gather for merriment and ale. To secure this location for Shared Meals, you’ll need to reach Fellowship level 3 with Lilly Cotton, the pub’s owner. Once you engage her in conversation, you’ll be able to host meals here for four delighted guests. Lilly’s accommodating nature allows patrons to serve their own meals in her establishment!
The Ivy Bush Inn
4 Guests
Owned by Marigold Potts, who shares your Bree origins, The Ivy Bush Inn provides yet another venue for your culinary endeavors. Despite the absence of many travelers from outside Bywater, unlocking this location will certainly elevate foot traffic. To do so, improve your Fellowship level with Marigold to level 3 before discussing Shared Meals with her. This inn accommodates four guests, making it ideal for social gatherings.
