Universal Orlando Resort is on the verge of a thrilling new chapter with the imminent opening of its highly awaited fourth theme park, Universal Epic Universe, scheduled for May 22, 2025. A recent YouTube video, titled “Get Ready for Universal Epic Universe & Beyond, ” offers sneak peeks into a variety of engaging experiences that will be available to guests at this expansive new park.

Epic Universe: A New Realm of Adventure

Set to captivate visitors, Epic Universe will feature five uniquely themed worlds, each designed to ignite creativity and wonder. Guests will explore:

  • The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic
  • Super Nintendo World
  • How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk
  • Dark Universe
  • Celestial Park

Each of these immersive environments will provide unforgettable adventures filled with intricately designed attractions and live entertainment. Additionally, Universal will enhance the visitor experience with the new Helios Grand Hotel, granting direct access to Epic Universe.

Planning for the Future at Epic Universe

This new theme park is not merely a singular event; Universal has strategically allocated space for future expansion within each themed area, paving the way for additional growth and possibly introducing new worlds.“We’re already planning for the next thing at Epic, ”stated Karen Irwin, President and COO of Universal Orlando Resort, in the recently released video.“We have a slate of new attractions that are already in development for every one of our parks.”

Exciting Developments & Attractions

At Epic Universe, visitors can expect to see beloved characters come to life, including a meet and greet with Donkey Kong at Super Nintendo World. This section of the park will be divided into two themed areas dedicated to Nintendo’s iconic franchises. Highlighting this will be the Super Mario Land area, which boasts two attractions:

  • Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge – an interactive dark ride
  • Yoshi’s Adventure – a family-friendly ride offering scenic views

Ongoing Innovations Across Existing Parks

Universal Orlando Resort is also focused on enhancements for its current parks. Significant changes are on the horizon, including the planned demolition and replacement of the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit coaster, which is slated to close this fall. Moreover, the park is set to introduce modernized interactive wands, offering an upgraded spell-casting experience within The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. These advanced wands use cutting-edge technology to enhance the magic sensation for users.

In conjunction with these upgrades, five new spell locations will debut in Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley, adding to the variety available. This expansion will bring the total number of interactive spell spots in the existing parks to 30, with an additional 14 spell locations being introduced at Epic Universe. Overall, this will culminate in an impressive 44 magical experiences throughout Universal Orlando Resort.
