Unflattering statistic about The Rock unearthed ahead of WrestleMania XL

The Rock’s return to WWE during WrestleMania Season was motivated by several factors. As a third-generation wrestler, he is set to make his in-ring comeback in just a few days. However, a less-than-favorable statistic has been circulating among the WWE Universe.

The first night of WrestleMania 40 will feature a tag team match between The Final Boss and Roman Reigns against Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins. If The Bloodline is defeated, all members will be prohibited from being at ringside during the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match on the second night. However, if Rock and Roman emerge victorious, the Rhodes vs. Reigns title match on Night Two will be held under the rules of The Bloodline.

The last recorded match for Rock was a squash victory over Erick Rowan at WrestleMania 32 in 2016. Fans on X have noted that this Saturday’s major event will be The Brahma Bull’s seventh match in the last 20 years.

Despite being an impromptu match that resulted in a quick six-second victory, Rowan vs. Rock was not the last time Rock competed in a full-length match. In fact, in 2013, he faced off against John Cena at WrestleMania 29 for the WWE Championship.

After his defeat to Goldberg at Backlash in April 2003, The People’s Champion decided to retire from in-ring competition. However, he continued to make occasional appearances starting one year later, including teaming up with Mick Foley for a match against Evolution at WrestleMania 20 in 2004.

Over the past two decades, The Rock has participated in seven memorable matches, including a defeat against Evolution, a victory alongside Cena over Awesome Truth at Survivor Series 2011, a triumph over Cena at WrestleMania 28 in 2012, a successful capture of the WWE Championship from CM Punk at the 2013 Royal Rumble, a rematch win against Punk at Elimination Chamber the following month, a title loss to Cena at WrestleMania 29 a few weeks later, and a dominant win over Rowan in 2016.

The Rock to Honor His Grandmother with Induction into the WWE Hall of Fame

The Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA will host the 2024 WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony this Friday.

The Rock has revealed that his grandmother Lia Maivia will be honored with an induction into the Hall of Fame during WrestleMania XL Weekend. He will have the privilege of inducting his grandmother, a former wrestling promoter and the ex-wife of WWE Hall of Famer Peter Maivia.

Despite her passing on October 19, 2008 at the age of 77, Lia’s character continued to be regularly featured in Rock’s hit NBC series Young Rock until its conclusion in February 2023, after three successful seasons. She had been a part of the show for 26 years.
