Undo Deleted Translations Feature Coming to Google Translate on Android
When exploring new locations or relocating to a country where your native language isn’t spoken, having Google Translate on your smartphone becomes invaluable. Renowned as one of the most effective translation applications available, it offers extensive language support and functions even without an internet connection. Over the years, Google has significantly upgraded the Translate app to include features like “Live Translate”and a dual-screen conversation mode tailored for foldable devices, transforming your smartphone into a portable interpreter.
The application also includes an “Instant Translate”functionality, which provides continuous translation as you type. Recent updates suggest that this feature may soon be enhanced. In the APK Teardown of Google Translate version 8.20.71.687383449.1, some notable changes were identified. Specifically, in “Instant Translation”mode, translations occur simultaneously as you input text; however, functionalities like speech output, copying translated text, accessing definitions, and receiving grammar assistance won’t be available until you exit this mode by pressing the enter key on your keyboard.
However, this could potentially change in future updates, as Google might enable access to all of these features during “Instant Translation”mode itself, allowing users to view additional text details without having to exit the mode.
Moreover, another significant enhancement may be on the horizon, as noted by the experts at Android Authority.
Currently, the Google Translate app allows you to remove entries from your translation history, but there is no option to revert this action if you accidentally delete a translation. There is potential for Google to introduce an “undo” option for deleted translations in the near future.
This means that any translations you wish to retain that may have been unintentionally deleted could be restored easily. However, it’s important to note that these new features are not yet available to the public, and there’s no guarantee they will be included in an upcoming update.
