The latest Warframe update, known as the Old Peace, brings not only a captivating new quest but also innovative mission types to enhance gameplay. For newcomers to Warframe, accessing the Dark Refractory is straightforward, enabling even those with minimal account progression to experience these engaging missions.

Accessing the Dark Refractory in Warframe

To access the Dark Refractory menu, first complete The Old Peace quest, which becomes available after finishing the Lotus Eaters quest. This quest should require just over an hour of your time. Once completed, navigate to your Navigation Console.Be careful not to click on it initially; a Dark Refractory option should now be accessible. Select the appropriate button on your screen to enter the menu.

Within the Dark Refractory interface, players can choose between the Perita Rebellion and Descendia missions. Each mission type offers unique rewards, so be strategic in your selection based on your farming goals.

New players have the advantage of bypassing the Old Peace prerequisites. After completing The Teacher quest, players can immediately access Descendia and Perita Rebellion by accepting the Mission Preview prompt.

Understanding Warframe Descendia

Descendia offers a mission format similar to The Circuit from Duviri. This weekly game mode rewards players for successfully navigating through 21 stages known as Infernums, leading to a finale once all stages are completed.

Each Infernum presents a different type of mission, such as Capture or Alchemy, along with modifiers called Penances that alter gameplay. These modifiers can include:

Chemical Warfare: A toxic gas blankets the arena, requiring players to eliminate enemies to establish safe zones.
Bubble Blasters: Adventurers face foes that launch large, slow-moving spheres.
Falling Debris: Constant debris drops onto the arena, inflicting damage on players if struck.

Additionally, the 7th and 14th Infernums serve as rest zones, where players can interact with Marie and Lyon for helpful buffs. Successful completion of the 21st Infernum guarantees a component drop for either the Uriel Warframe or the Vinquibus bayonet rifle, both of which bypass weekly reward limits.

Exploring Warframe Perita Rebellion

The Perita Rebellion missions immerse players in 12-minute timed challenges, where the goal is to complete as many objectives—referred to as Orders—as possible before the timer runs out. This culminates in an epic boss fight.

During a Perita Rebellion session, you will encounter two main option sets:

Recall: These choices represent memories from the conflict on Tau, each corresponding to a unique boss that must be defeated.
Focus School: Players select a Focus School to experience unique bonuses and obtain Tauron Strikes, which are powerful skills for your Operator.

Completing each run of Perita Rebellion yields valuable resources essential for unlocking Tauron Strikes, potent ultimate abilities for your Operator. These resources are also critical for expanding your Focus Schools with additional nodes.
