Understanding the Parental Lock Code Puzzle in Deltarune

In Deltarune Chapter 3, following the initial two Marvelous Mystery Boards, players encounter a unique character known as the Zapper. Engaging with this character, you’ll be whisked away into a dim, extensive corridor after choosing not to attack or interacting with his buttons multiple times.

This sequence of rooms features puzzles that depict the Parental Locks set by Toriel in the Dreemurr household, implemented to shield Kris from inappropriate media. Navigating these puzzles can prove somewhat challenging.

These puzzles serve as a barrier to advancing through the chapter. Players must decipher numbers displayed on screens, adjusting game elements to reveal the corresponding codes. This article will guide you through the puzzle-solving process and provide the solutions for each door, allowing players who prefer not to engage in solving the puzzles to input the predefined codes that remain consistent across all playthroughs.

First Door

The initial room sets the stage for the puzzle mechanics you’ll leverage for upcoming doors, but it is still relatively intricate. Start by interacting with the parental lock door and entering any random input; then, engage with the console located on the central screen.

If you’ve already accepted the challenge to defeat the Secret Boss of Chapter 3, Kris will wield a sword, enabling him to slash through grass, rocks, and switches to uncover numbers. Alternatively, you can utilize Susie for the same task.

Second Door

If you are playing as Kris, navigate to the bottom right screen to open the door with a slash. However, if you’re Susie, the process involves additional steps to capture the key.

Locate the bottom right corner, where you’ll find two blocks. Toss one block at the top right of the screen and the other diagonally upwards and to the right of the first block, which will catch the key, allowing you to retrieve it after a brief detour.

Inside the locked room, you will encounter a collection of scattered numbers, mirroring the earlier mechanic, albeit in a more jumbled format. Once rearranged, these numerals reveal the code 1225, representing the date 12/25, commonly associated with Christmas — also a notable December holiday, as detailed in this source.

This puzzle is straightforward. If you did not pursue the SWORD route for the secret boss, you’ll encounter a final door with an undefined parental lock. The solution is surprisingly simple: just enter 0000, and the way forward will be clear.
