Understanding the Glasgow Smile: Exploring Ashley Parham’s Allegations Against Diddy in New Lawsuit

In a new legal action, Sean “Diddy” Combs faces serious allegations from Ashley Parham, who claims he engaged in kidnapping, false imprisonment, battery, sexual assault, and abuse. According to the legal filings, Parham asserts that Combs threatened to inflict a facial cut akin to a Glasgow smile.

The term “Glasgow smile”dates back to the 20th century in Scotland, where it was used among rival gangs. These criminals would employ sharp tools such as knives, razors, or shards of glass to create a deep incision stretching from the corners of a victim’s mouth to their ears.

This gruesome cut would expand as the victim screamed, and once healed, would leave scars appearing as permanent smiles.

Ashley Parham submitted her lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California on Tuesday. Her allegations indicate that the incident took place in 2018, shortly after she suggested that Diddy might have been involved in the murder of Tupac Shakur, which occurred in 1996.

Ashley Parham accuses Diddy of severe assault

Parham recounts her initial interaction with Combs occurred online when a man she met at a bar in February 2018 connected her via FaceTime to the music mogul. During this conversation, she supposedly expressed her belief that he played a part in Tupac’s death.

In retaliation, she claims Diddy threatened her, warning of repercussions for her comments.

A month later, on March 23, the man from the bar allegedly lured her to his residence in Orinda, California, to set up an encounter with Diddy and others involved in the alleged assault.

Ashley detailed that Combs held a knife to her face, threatening to carve a Glasgow smile due to her accusations regarding Tupac’s murder. However, Kristina Khorram, a former chief of staff for Combs Enterprises and co-defendant in the lawsuit, allegedly intervened, advising Diddy to refrain from proceeding with the mutilation to preserve Ashley’s appearance for potential trafficking.

The lawsuit claims that Combs forcibly undressed Ashley and soaked her in an unknown substance before attempting to insert an IUD into her vagina. When that effort failed, he allegedly shifted to violent acts using a TV remote.

The lawsuit also involves Diddy’s mother, Janice Combs, who is accused of dismissing Ashley’s allegations of rape and verbally chastising her for considering reporting the incident.

Ashley claims she then retaliated by inflicting a minor cut on Combs’ abdomen with a knife in her attempt to escape.

Once outside, Ashley reportedly cried out for help, prompting neighbors to contact law enforcement. The Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office responded, and Ashley informed an officer that she had been subjected to severe sexual assault and violence by Combs and his associates.

Later, she sought medical attention at a hospital where she also spoke with Walnut Creek Police. However, during her account, she omitted Diddy’s name, fearing her allegations would not be taken seriously.

Representing Ashley Parham are attorneys Shawn Perez and Ariel Mitchell. This lawsuit comes on the heels of six separate sexual assault claims filed against Diddy, with those clients being represented by Texas attorney Tony Buzbee.
