This episode is impressive in its artistry, surprises, and the potential it opens for future storytelling. Instead of the anticipated triumph of Goku or Gogeta over Gomah, the events unfolded in an unexpected manner that fans will find intriguing. Dive into the details of this compelling finale.
The Final Showdown with King Gomah

In his Super Giant form, after activating the Evil Third Eye, Gomah becomes significantly overpowering. The young forms of Goku, Piccolo, and Vegeta struggle against him, even with Vegeta in his SSJ3 form and Goku transforming into SSJ4.
As Glorio invokes Shenron for a restoration spell, the battle continues, but the heroes are fatigued and unable to fully utilize their powers. When it’s time for adult Vegeta, now in his SSJ3 form, to confront Gomah, it’s clear that his endurance is waning.
Dr. Arinsu encourages Majin Kuu to retrieve a book containing information about the Evil Third Eye, leading them to discover that three strikes at the nape of the user will sever the eye’s hold. This crucial revelation is passed on to Goku and Piccolo, setting the stage for their strategy.
During the visual spectacle of Goku’s battle against Gomah, Goku unleashes a mighty Kamehameha, producing a massive wound in the demon’s abdomen. This opening serves as a vital distraction for Piccolo, who aims to strike at Gomah’s neck. However, after delivering two successful hits, Gomah manages to fend off Piccolo and appears poised for an even greater surge of power.
The Unlikely Hero: Who Defeated King Gomah?

In a turn of events, after Gomah brings down Piccolo and creates chaos in the Demon Realm, Majin Kuu accidentally finds himself behind the adversary while holding the large book intended for Dr. Arinsu.
Seizing the moment, Majin Kuu swiftly strikes Gomah three times at his neck, successfully dislodging the Evil Third Eye from the demon’s forehead. The group quickly binds Gomah and obliterates the eye, leading to an unexpected yet heroic victory. No complex fusion was required; it was simply a matter of timing.
Ascension of the New King of the Demon Realm

Post-Gomah’s defeat, Marba seals him and Degesu in a jar, leading to a royal shift within the Demon Realm. Recognizing his role in defeating the former king, Majin Kuu announces himself as the Supreme Demon King, with Dr. Arinsu accompanying him as the Vice Supreme Demon King. Other figures such as Neva, Marba, Majin Duu, Glorio, and King Kadan receive appointments as ministers.
Neva extends an invitation to Dende to join them in the Demon Realm. Although he respectfully declines, he commits to informing other wandering Nameks about the realm’s openness for visitation. With that, the Dragon Team prepares for their return to Earth.
Exploring Super Saiyan 4 in Daima

In a moment of reflection, Goku sheds light on his Super Saiyan 4 transformation when prompted by Vegeta, who teasingly refers to his own SSJ3 as “Ultra Vegeta #1.” Goku explains that he underwent intensive training post-Buu Saga to refine his form, though he expresses uncertainty about its effectiveness. Vegeta quips that it resembles a “Super Saiyan bargain sale, ”but leaves unresolved the question of why Goku hasn’t employed it in Dragon Ball Super.
Will There Be a Sequel to Dragon Ball Daima?
On their way back to Earth, Goku decides to make a pit stop at the shop featured in Episode 4—where they acquired Medi Bugs. There, Goku and Glorio stumble upon additional editions of the Evil Third Eye for sale, suggesting possible avenues for Season 2 or an entirely new series of Daima. However, further announcements regarding this development remain undisclosed.
You can catch the full series of Dragon Ball Daima streaming on Crunchyroll and Hulu, with Episode 20 set to be available on Netflix and other platforms next week.
