On Earth, sophons serve as instruments of surveillance and psychological manipulation for the San-Ti, often unseen by human observers yet capable of materializing human-like projections for communication purposes, voiced by Sea Shimooka, in the series.

In the finale, Saul is chosen as one of these Wallfacers, though he initially declines the role, leading those around him to mistakenly believe this is part of a larger strategy.
