Understanding Sharon Davis in Agatha All Along: Key Insights into MCU’s New Character

Agatha All Along is a limited series that debuted on Disney+ on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. This fantasy series, created by Jac Schaeffer, serves as a spin-off from WandaVision, featuring performances by Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany. The executive production team includes Kevin Feige, Mary Livanos, Brad Winderbaum, Louis D’Esposito, Robert Kulzer, and Jac Schaeffer.

Set three years post-WandaVision, the storyline follows Agatha Harkness as she embarks on the perilous journey known as The Witches’ Road, accompanied by her coven of witches in an effort to reclaim her lost magical powers.

In Agatha All Along, Sharon Davis is depicted as a member of the witch coven. She bravely navigates The Witches’ Road but meets her demise following the first trial.

Sharon Davis initially appeared in WandaVision as a resident of Westview. She is notable for being the only other character, aside from Agatha Harkness, to return from the previous series. In WandaVision, Sharon was married to Todd Davis and lived next door to Wanda Maximoff and Vision. Her sitcom alter-ego is Mrs. Hart, and she is featured in WandaVision after Wanda casts a hex on the citizens of Westview.

While Sharon Davis lacks magical abilities, she is portrayed as an exceptional gardener. Agatha includes her in the coven as a substitute for the essential ‘Green Witch.’

In episode 3, titled Through Many Miles / Of Tricks and Trials, Sharon joins The Witches’ Road under Agatha’s direction, who chooses her over Rio Vidal (played by Aubrey Plaza). During the coven’s first trial, they find themselves in an alluring house and are presented with a bottle of wine.

The witches drink the wine without realizing it’s poisoned. This moment leads each character to confront hallucinatory representations of their deepest fears, providing audiences with a fascinating look into their pasts.

Sharon consumes two glasses of the toxic wine and ultimately faints. Fortunately, Jennifer (Sasheer Zamata) manages to concoct an antidote just in time to save herself and Sharon.

The house becomes engulfed in water, and the coven escapes through the oven, sliding down to The Witches’ Road after completing their first trial. Tragically, though, Sharon passes away by the end of the episode.

Is Sharon’s death final?

Regrettably, Sharon was not meant to accompany the coven on The Witches’ Road. Originally, her spot was designated for the Green Witch, Rio Vidal, who has a complex history with Agatha.

There remains the possibility of Sharon being resurrected later in the series. If Agatha succeeds in restoring her magical abilities, she may inadvertently bring Sharon back to life following the circumstances of her demise.
