Understanding Love and Deep Space Memory Pair Concepts

In Love and Deepspace, players may have observed the presence of a two-letter code displayed in the upper right corner of various Memory cards. Interestingly, the game does not provide explicit explanations for this feature, leaving many to wonder about its significance.

This two-letter code serves as an identifier for a Memory Pair, which consists of complementary Solar Memories that, when utilized together in battle, confer unique advantages. Understanding each code is essential for players who may already possess one Memory from a pair and are on the lookout for the other. Effective pairing can provide substantial benefits during combat encounters.

When assembling your battle team in Love and Deepspace, players can only equip two Solar Memories. However, it’s crucial to recognize that simply equipping two Solar Memories does not automatically designate them as a Memory Pair. Only those that share the same two-letter code can be classified as such, indicating they unlock a combined bonus effect when equipped together.

Only 4- and 5-Star Solar Memories can form a Memory Pair; no 3-Star Memories are included in these combinations. Memory Pairs share identical Stellacrum (color) and rarity attributes, and their names often (though not exclusively) begin with the same initial word.

Equipping both Memories in a Pair activates an Active Pair Bonus.

For 4-Star Memory Pairs, the effects generally follow a predictable pattern:

  • Base team damage output increases by 5%.
  • Ardent Oath charge rises by 10% (Duo Rank 1).
  • Team damage taken decreases by 5% (Duo Rank 2).
  • Team damage output increases again by 5% (Duo Rank 3).

Duo Rank levels can be increased by acquiring duplicates of both Memory cards through the gacha system. These duplicate Memories can be utilized for Ranking Up the associated Memory up to three times, yielding beneficial base stat enhancements.(After reaching Rank 3, any additional duplicates are converted into Heartsand currencies.)

In contrast, 5-Star Memory Pairs boast distinct base and Duo Rank effects that enhance their unique gameplay elements. Each 5-Star Solar Memory is tied to a Myth story, and acquiring both halves of a Myth Pair not only boosts performance but also unlocks exclusive Companion kits and weapons for the protagonist and love interest, respectively. Myth Pairs represent the pinnacle of combat capabilities in the game, delivering substantial advantages when used in tandem.
