Fortnite continues to captivate audiences with its regular updates and fresh content, ensuring players remain engaged. Each new chapter introduces thrilling items, weapons, and game mechanics. The newest additions for Chapter 6 include the intriguing Sprites, Boons, and Sprite Towers, each contributing to the gameplay experience.
These new elements are not merely aesthetic; they have significant gameplay implications that can help players secure victories.
Understanding Sprites

Sprites are adorable creatures that populate the Fortnite map, resembling the small companions known as Pals from Palworld. They add a playful touch to the game.
Players can collect these Sprites to incorporate into their loadout or bring them to a Sprite Tower to receive valuable rewards. Currently, three distinct types of Sprites can be found throughout the island.
Wind Sprites
Wind Sprites appear as small cloud-like entities, and they serve more than just a whimsical purpose. These Sprites can enhance your mobility in competitive play.
By picking up and subsequently tossing a Wind Sprite, players can create a whirlwind that will launch them into the air and allow them to redeploy their glider. This ability makes Wind Sprites invaluable for quick escapes or repositioning in battle.
Water Sprites
Water Sprites also roam the island and provide a more crucial benefit than Wind Sprites since they heal players and their teammates.
When collected and thrown, a Water Sprite delivers an immediate boost of 30 health/shield and further regenerates at a rate of 2 health/shield per second, making them a reliable source of healing during heated encounters.
Earth Sprites
In contrast, Earth Sprites are much rarer, often making them harder to locate. I haven’t even encountered one since the chapter commenced. Despite their scarcity, their utility cannot be undermined.
These Sprites act as traders, allowing players to exchange a weapon for another of equal or greater value, offering a potential strategic advantage.
Choosing the Right Sprite for Your Loadout

When deciding which Sprite to carry, the Water Sprite stands out as the most advantageous choice. It functions as a healable item that can be pivotal in critical moments.
While Wind Sprites offer mobility, alternatives such as Shockwave Grenades provide superior movement capabilities. Personally, I prioritize carrying Water Sprites.
Throwing a Water Sprite can simultaneously restore shields while using Med Kits or other healing items, making it a vital inclusion in your strategy. I’ve certainly experienced its life-saving effects numerous times.
Water Sprites can be utilized three times before their charges run out, although there is a cooldown period before they can be deployed again.
Sprite Towers Explained

Sprite Towers are prominent structures scattered across the map, characteristically designed with pillars adorned with runic symbols and surrounded by stairs. Their visibility makes them easy to locate.
The primary purpose of these towers is to receive Sprites and reward players with Boons. Additionally, players can utilize Sprite Towers to locate nearby Sprites by approaching the tower and pressing the “Use” button.
To earn rewards, simply bring a Sprite to the tower and hold the “Use” button to initiate a lengthy animation, which culminates in the release of a boon—often featuring powerful weapons.
Overview of Boons
Boons are effectively perks or enhancements you receive by offering Sprites to the towers. They can also be acquired through defeating bosses or looting chests.
While defeating bosses can be challenging and chest loot can be unreliable, exchanging Sprites at the Sprite Tower guarantees a boon drop.
Here’s a quick list of the available Boons in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1:

Top Boons for Success
The Water and Void Boons are particularly advantageous, as they provide essential healing and intelligence on enemy movements. The Water Boon not only aids the player but also enhances the entire team’s survivability.
On the other hand, the Void Boon delivers valuable insights about potential threats during combat. However, securing it is more complex than obtaining the Water Boon, as it requires either thorough exploration for chests or battling bosses, while the Water Boon is attained simply by offering a Water Sprite.
