Understanding Eyeblossom in Minecraft’s Pale Garden

Minecraft is set to introduce a new biome known as the Pale Garden in the upcoming Winter Drop update. This update will also feature a new creature called the creaking, along with a novel wood type referred to as Pale Oak. In a delightful surprise for players, Mojang Studios has unveiled the addition of the eyeblossom plant within this biome. Characterized by its muted and lifeless atmosphere where no creatures naturally spawn, the Pale Garden welcomes the vibrant presence of this plant.

This article delves into the characteristics of the eyeblossom plant found in the Pale Garden biome and highlights what distinguishes it as a plant worth seeking out.

The eyeblossom is a unique flora that grows exclusively in the Pale Garden biome. This plant features a striking orange glow, white petals, and a gray stem. It comes in two forms: open and closed. During daylight, the plant stays closed and lacks its glowing hue. As night falls, it unfurls into a flower-like shape that emits a luminous, eye-like appearance.

You may wonder, what happens to this plant when removed from its environment, particularly in locations like the Nether or the End, where there is no cycle of day and night? In these dimensions, the plant retains the state it was in when unearthed. Additionally, players can cultivate more eyeblossoms by applying bonemeal to the grass within the Pale Garden biome.

Another fascinating aspect to consider is that bees in Minecraft can interact with the eyeblossom plant, which results in the bees becoming poisoned. Furthermore, players can craft a suspicious stew using the eyeblossom, which can induce effects such as Nausea or Blindness, depending on whether the plant is in its open or closed state.

The eyeblossom plant also serves as a dye source. When using the open version, players will create orange dye, while the closed variant yields gray dye. Although the orange dye is straightforward to craft, some gamers have found the process of obtaining gray dye to be somewhat cumbersome, as it typically requires combining an ink sac with bone meal. With the eyeblossom plant, crafting gray dye becomes much simpler, needing only one ingredient.

In addition to the eyeblossom, another exciting item called resin will be introduced in Minecraft. This resin drops when the creaking heart— the energy source for the creaking mob— is destroyed. Notably, the creaking mob cannot be harmed through conventional means, making the destruction of its heart the only way to defeat this creature.
