With the Z Fighters, including Goku, having entered the First Demon World in Dragon Ball Daima, it’s an opportune moment to delve into the nuances of the Second Demon World. As they navigate their way through the challenges posed by the Demon Realm’s three Tamagami in pursuit of the Dragon Balls, Goku and his companions experienced a blend of beauty and peril.
During their five-episode stay, spanning from episodes 10 to 14, Goku’s group uncovered a rich tapestry of wonders and dangers. Many fans hope future installments of Daima, or even upcoming seasons of Dragon Ball Super, will further explore this captivating part of the Demon Realm.
Unique Aspects of the Second Demon World
Vibrant Ecosystems and Water Bodies

As depicted in episode 15, the Second Demon World stands out as the most visually appealing and serene realm among the three Demon Worlds. In contrast, the Third Demon World is characterized by heavy air that impedes movement, while the First Demon World suffers from oppressive temperatures and vast deserts. By comparison, the Second Demon World boasts a myriad of islands adorned with lush greenery and expansive oceans, making it a sanctuary for mostly harmonious inhabitants. While other Demon Worlds harbor thugs and villains, this realm’s challenges are primarily rooted in environmental dangers.
The predominant threat is posed by Krakens—massive, tentacled creatures inhabiting the oceans. These formidable beasts are known for their aggressive nature, attacking anything that comes near the surface. Even the powerful Saiyan Goku struggled against them, as shown in episode 10, “Ocean.”The gravity of this threat highlights the need for swift vessels to escape their clutches.
Borders of the Second Demon World

Uniquely positioned between the First and Third Demon Worlds, the Second Demon World features access points to both realms. The entrance to the Third Demon World is located above, while the First world’s entrance lies beneath. These gateways were sealed by the Namekian Neva in ancient times but were re-opened in episode 14, “Taboo, ”when Warp-sama unexpectedly deactivated.
An additional feature of the Second Demon World is its supply of Majilite, found primarily along the border with the Third Demon World. This natural mineral, formed by the seepage of acidic waters, has a remarkable trait: it can produce energy for up to 30 years, a crucial resource for powering the various aircraft and vehicles in the Demon Realm. Bulma’s inability to repair the Supreme Kai’s ship stemmed from the lack of access to this vital resource.
Planets Within the Second Demon World
Original Namek

A fascinating revelation in Dragon Ball Daima is that the Namekian race originated from the Demon Realm. The original Namek, vastly similar to the one seen during the Frieza Saga, exists within this world and was visited by Goku and team in episode 10 following their escape from a Kraken. Evidence suggests that some of the flora was transported by the Namekians to their new home. However, this historic planet remains largely abandoned, with the only known Namekian left being Neva.
Planet Mega, Home to the Megaths

According to experts Shin and Neva, the Megaths represent the second most powerful native species in the Demon Realm, making Planet Mega a treacherous location. Even the Demon King exercises caution, opting not to impose his rule over this formidable realm.
There is speculation surrounding another planet, Giga, which is believed to harbor the Gigaths—an even more powerful race. However, the specific location of Giga within the Demon Worlds remains undisclosed.
The Glind Home Planet

While Goku and his allies have yet to visit, it is known that Shin’s home world exists somewhere within the Second Demon World. Although the Glind home planet remains nameless, it’s worth noting that the Glind Trees that once sustained the Glind have all perished. Many of them emigrated to other universes after Rymus’s creation of the cosmic landscapes beyond the Demon Realm. Only a few Glind, such as Degesu and Arinsu, have chosen to remain, currently residing in the First Demon World’s palace.
“We Glinds are born from five Glind Trees. But all of the trees died. With no reason to stay here, it led to our emigration to the universes.”- Shin explaining Glind history.
