When & Where Will Atakhan Spawn In League Of Legends?

Atakhan’s Spawn Time

Atakhan is set to spawn at a predictable 20-minute mark, which shifts the spawn timing of Baron Nashor to 25 minutes.

Atakhan’s Pit Location

Players will encounter Atakhan in his designated Pit, which appears in the river at the 14-minute mark. The exact side of the river, however, is influenced by the damage inflicted and kills accrued during the match, potentially spawning on either the Top Lane or Bot Lane.

This provides teams with a crucial 6-minute preparation window before engaging in battle. The Pit is also equipped with two small walls, making skirmishes over Atakhan’s control more intense; these structures remain even after the boss is defeated.

Which Form Of Atakhan Will Spawn & Why?

Atakhan features two distinct forms, with the appropriate form determined by the level of game activity. In matches characterized by low-action with fewer champion kills and damage, players will encounter Voracious Atakhan.

Conversely, if there’s a significant amount of champion engagements and damage in the initial 14 minutes, Ruinous Atakhan will emerge. Beyond their visual differences, the two forms offer varied buffs that can influence the flow of the game.

Voracious Atakhan’s Buff In League Of Legends

In games with lower action levels, Voracious Atakhan spawns and provides buffs that incentivize aggressive play from the team that defeats him.

Each team member earns an additional 40 gold for every champion takedown, including assists, which persists for the remainder of the game.
Players receive a one-time death mitigation lasting 150 seconds, where they momentarily enter stasis for 2 seconds before relocating to base after 3.5 seconds. Instead of receiving the kill, the opponent earns 100 gold and 1 Blood Petal for their team.

Ruinous Atakhan’s Buff In League Of Legends

In more action-packed matches, Ruinous Atakhan makes his appearance, offering a scalable buff to the victorious team.

The team enjoys a 25% increase to all Epic Monster rewards for the remainder of the match, enhancing the benefits gained from defeating Dragons and also applying to previously obtained objectives.
Each member of the team is awarded 6 Blood Petals.
After his defeat, 6 Large and 6 Small Blood Rose Plants will spawn around Atakhan’s Pit, enabling players to choose who can participate in their elimination to gain further stats.

What Are Blood Roses & Petals In League Of Legends

Blood Roses represent the latest plant addition on the Rift, typically appearing near champion deaths and Atakhan’s Pit. They also emerge following the defeat of Ruinous Atakhan.

Champions who interact with these plants can acquire permanent Blood Petals, which provide stacking buffs with various rewards.

Each plant interaction grants 25 XP, which can double for players with a lower K/D/A.
Interaction yields 1 Adaptive Force, which can be converted into either Attack Damage (AD) or Ability Power (AP).
