“Underdog” Jonathan Di Bella ready to “shock the world” vs. hometown hero Prajanchai at ONE Friday Fights 58
Despite being the current ONE strawweight kickboxing world champion, Jonathan Di Bella sees himself as the underdog as he prepares for his upcoming match against Prajanchai PK Saenchai. This will be Di Bella’s second time defending his 26-pound golden belt.
Di Bella and Prajanchai have been chosen as the co-main event for the highly anticipated ONE Friday Fights 58 on April 5. This event will take place at the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium, also known as the Madison Square Garden of the East, located in Bangkok, Thailand.
The current world champion made an appearance on the South China Morning Post’s YouTube channel, where he discussed his mindset and strategy for the upcoming monumental match.
The Italian-Canadian striker extraordinaire stated:
“So yeah, I think, I believe I’m the underdog in this fight but yeah, I’m going to go in and shock the world.”

After successfully defending his championship against Danial Williams at ONE Fight Night 15 with a unanimous decision from the judges, Jonathan Di Bella is now aiming for his second consecutive title defense.
Despite his previous experiences, this time he will face a hostile environment as the stadium will be filled with a cheering crowd rooting for their hometown champion, who aims to claim victory in two different sports and become a world champion.
