Underdog Alexis Nicolas wants to bring “title and prestige” to France by dethroning two-sport king Regian Eersel

Alexis Nicolas, an undefeated French kickboxer, has his sights set on achieving the greatest honor in his home country’s sport. He plans to do so by defeating the widely acknowledged best pound-for-pound fighter in the world.

Nicolas is set to battle it out against Regian ‘The Immortal’ Eersel, a two-sport ONE world champion, for the ONE lightweight kickboxing world title. This highly anticipated fight will be the main event of ONE Fight Night 21: Eersel vs. Nicolas, which will be broadcasted live on Prime Video from the renowned Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand on Friday, April 5th.

The 25-year-old is confident that whether he wins or loses against Eersel, joining the world’s largest martial arts organization will provide him with an opportunity to prove himself among the elite.

In a recent interview with ONE Championship, Alexis Nicolas discussed his determination to claim Eersel’s glory, by any means necessary.

Barboza stated:

“Even if I don’t win this, signing a contract with ONE, I will have other opportunities to prove that I’m the best. I’m really proud of the fact that I can actually bring something more — coming from nothing — I will bring more back to France, the title and prestige.”
