“Uncle Luke Supports Suge Knight’s Claims on Diddy Being ‘Controlled’ by the Music Industry Amid Drug Struggles”
In the midst of the ongoing controversy surrounding Sean “Diddy”Combs, Suge Knight addressed the situation during an interview with Chris Cuomo on NewsNation on September 24, speaking via phone from prison. Knight emphasized that Combs should not bear the full blame for the allegations against him.
He asserted:
“Puffy didn’t get to where he got by doing those things listed in the allegations by himself. He was taught by people before him and he did it to the younger people after him.”
He specifically named Clive Davis, Russell Simmons, and Jimmy Iovine as individuals responsible for shaping Combs’ behavior. Additionally, Knight characterized Diddy as a “victim of abuse.”
In response to Knight’s remarks, Uncle Luke shared his thoughts on The Stephen A. Smith Show on September 27. He commented:
“[Suge is] still connected to the outside world. You know, in some shape, form, or fashion. You know, [there are] guys [that aren’t] supposed to have their telephones in jail, but they do have their telephone in jail.”
Luke also mentioned that he had heard Knight’s allegations regarding Diddy being influenced by drugs over the years, expressing belief that there was some truth to these claims. He continued:
“A lot of my friends who know him real closely, you know, they say that he got consumed with the drugs…”
Uncle Luke summed up his perspective by stating that if one does not “control the industry, the industry will control”them. He added that maintaining humility is essential for survival in this competitive environment.
Furthermore, Luke referenced the racial discrimination lawsuit that Diddy filed against Diageo, which reportedly ended with a settlement, concluding the legal dispute. According to Uncle Luke, external pressures influenced Diddy’s choices in targeting such major corporations.
Uncle Luke’s Previous Insights on Factors Behind Diddy’s Downfall
This was not the first time Uncle Luke commented on Diddy or the serious allegations surrounding him. A few months prior, during an Instagram Live session, Luke stated:
“When you get your billions, and they put you on a pedestal, that’s because they put you up on a pedestal. They made you the guy. They place you on every network. They sold you to all y’all on here.”
Following his remarks, Page Six attempted to contact Luke; however, his representatives indicated that these statements were made before federal agents raided his home in March of this year.
As noted earlier, Suge Knight has consistently defended Diddy, arguing that he was influenced by others in the industry. Knight has also pointed out that the music industry has a tendency to exploit newcomers.
Knight further criticized several prominent figures in the industry, including Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg, and Rick Ross, for remaining silent and not acting as “whistleblowers”in the ongoing case. Presently, Diddy is facing serious s*x trafficking charges, and his bail has been denied by a judge.
