Overview of Recent Issues in Marvel Snap
- Marvel Snap’s weekend challenge requires players to utilize a card that has not yet been released.
- The challenge calls for creating a deck featuring Khonshu, a character set to debut only on March 25.
- In light of this issue, players are requesting compensation due to frustrations with the bugged challenge.
Marvel Snap has recently faced backlash as its latest limited-time challenge has created an impossible scenario for players by demanding an unreleased card’s inclusion. While this may appear to be a minor technical glitch, it has aggravated the gaming community, especially following a previous incident that disrupted Scroll refills during the Sanctum Showdown event. With a series of similar issues arising in quick succession, players are beginning to question the Marvel Snap development team’s ability to address such concerns promptly.
This bugged Weekend Challenge coincides with Marvel Snap’s new season titled Prehistoric Avengers, which aims to unveil five new cards progressively through Spotlight Caches on a weekly basis. The peculiar nature of this error lies in the requirement for players to incorporate one of these cards—Khonshu—which will not be accessible until the last week of March, specifically March 25.
As discussed by players on Reddit, the challenge specifically instructs users to win a match with Khonshu in their deck, promising an enticing reward of 200 Marvel Snap Collector’s Tokens. However, since Khonshu is not yet available in the game, no players have managed to fulfill this challenge. Those who attempted to use Eson, the latest card from the Spotlight Cache, to complete the task reported similar failures, confirming that the glitch is not just a simple text issue.

Reflecting back on November 2024, another mission malfunction within Marvel Snap caused significant player dissatisfaction. Although this recent issued challenge is less critical, affecting only one challenge and presumably correctable through an over-the-air (OTA) update, players are anxious about missing valuable rewards. The developers, Second Dinner, are not particularly renowned for swift resolutions to gameplay problems, which has contributed to the frustration surrounding this incident. As of now, the developers have acknowledged the issue and are actively investigating, yet the bug persists without a fix.

Many players have humorously rallied for substantial compensation, underscoring the glitch’s perceived impact on their gaming experience. One user jocularly suggested, “We are going to need 5k Gold and 20k Charms minimum compensation to begin to recover.”This light-hearted banter references a prior instance of Marvel Snap’s compensation following the TikTok ban, which had garnered player approval. Consequently, there remains a glimmer of hope among fans that the developers will consider compensation for this current challenge error, even if it does not match the generosity of previous responses.
