NetEase, the studio behind Marvel Rivals, has unveiled thrilling gameplay of the next character, Ultron, and offered a sneak peek into what players can expect from the upcoming Season 2.5, set to launch on May 30, 2025. The company has also released the latest patch notes, detailing the recent balance changes and bug fixes introduced in the latest update.
Hellfire Gala Moments Extended and New Features Incoming
As part of the ongoing excitement, the Hellfire Gala Moments event has been given an additional week to engage players. In addition to Ultron’s much-anticipated debut, fans can look forward to a brand-new map. Significant adjustments to Team-Up abilities are also on the horizon, including the introduction of the innovative Jeff-Nado ability.
Introducing a New Battle Mode: Ultron’s Battle Matrix Protocol
On June 6, the game will unveil a new limited-time mode dubbed Ultron’s Battle Matrix Protocol. This mode enables six players to select their heroes and enhance their abilities before engaging in dynamic combat against other players. According to a recent press release, this mode serves as an “experiment”aimed at fulfilling players’ aspirations of embodying Marvel Super Heroes and Super Villains.
Season Transition: Moving to a Two-Month Structure
Importantly, Season 2 marks the final iteration of the three-month-long season structure, as announced by NetEase. Starting with Season 3, each season will be condensed to last just two months, introducing a new character and features every month. Season 2 has also enriched the gameplay experience by incorporating weekly missions, adding to the diverse daily challenges already available to players.
