As a 4-Star character affiliated with the Path of Harmony, Tingyun possesses the Lightning element, leveraging her attack power to amplify her allies. Prioritizing enhancements to her attack is essential, followed by improvements to her energy regeneration and speed. This strategic approach maximizes her ultimate ability’s impact.
Optimal Light Cones for Tingyun
Top Choice: 5-Star Light Cone
The ideal 5-Star Light Cone for Tingyun is But the Battle Isn’t Over. This Light Cone significantly boosts energy recharge, and upon using her ultimate on an ally, it grants additional skill points while providing a powerful attack buff when her skill is deployed on that ally. Such synergy makes it perfect for maximizing the performance of your strongest damage dealers, particularly those in the Erudition or Hunt categories.
Alternative: 4-Star Light Cones
If you’re unable to access a 5-star option, consider the Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds Light Cone. Much like The Widsith in Genshin Impact, this cone activates unique abilities at the start of battles, including boosts to party-wide attack and critical hit rates, alongside energy replenishment.
Another commendable 4-star option is Dance! Dance! Dance!, which allows all allies to act quicker after Tingyun unleashes her ultimate.
Entry Choice: 3-Star Light Cones
For budget builds, two 3-star Light Cones can also complement Tingyun’s abilities: Chorus offers an attack buff to the party at the battle’s onset, while Meshing Cogs enhances energy recharge following damage dealt or sustained by the character.
Best Relics for Tingyun
To optimize Tingyun’s performance, equip her with the Sacerdos’ Relived Ordeal relic set, which offers:
- Two-piece effect: Boosts Speed by 6%.
- Four-piece effect: When casting a Skill or Ultimate on an ally, increases that ally’s critical damage by 18% for two turns, stacking up to two times.
Alternatively, the Messenger Traversing Hackerspace set is another good choice:
- Two-piece effect: Increases Speed by 6%.
- Four-piece effect: After using an Ultimate on an ally, boosts the Speed of all allies by 12% for one turn.
If neither primary set is available, consider mixing different sets:
- Band of Sizzling Thunder: Boosts Lightning damage by 15%.
- Musketeer of Wild Wheat: Increases Attack by 10%.
While Sizzling Thunder enhances attack post-skill activation, its timing is counterproductive for Tingyun, whose skill already enhances an ally’s attack. Musketeer of Wild Wheat offers marginal speed increases and a more considerable boost to basic attack damage, but it’s less than ideal for her optimal build. Focus on enhancing attack, speed, and energy regeneration when selecting relic substats.
Best Ornaments for Tingyun
Tingyun has two sturdy ornament options to consider:
- Space Sealing Station: Offers a 12% attack increase; an additional 12% boost occurs if speed reaches 120.
- Sprightly Vonwacq: Enhances energy restoration by 5% and, with a speed threshold of 145 or higher, advances action by 50% at battle start.
While Space Sealing Station remains my preferred choice, the 5% speed increase from Sprightly Vonwacq offers strategic advantages through early setup opportunities. Experiment with both to find the best fit for your playstyle.
Prioritizing Tingyun’s Traces
For leveling up her Traces, give utmost priority to Tingyun’s Skill, as it is the most frequently utilized ability for ally enhancement. Following that, focus on her Ultimate, which provides substantial damage boosts. Next, invest in her Talent, allowing for follow-up attacks against enemies when Tingyun is attacked herself. Finally, allocate resources to her Basic Attack.

Additionally, her ultimate restores 50 energy to a designated ally while boosting their damage output by 20%. Even without the best equipment, she delivers valuable support, benefiting greatly from her Eidolons that enhance her skill and attack buffs.
Although in the Erudition category, Tingyun can still deal considerable damage via basic attacks, particularly when she receives attack enhancements. While her damage is notable, she is best suited as a secondary support rather than a primary damage dealer.
Is It Worth Pulling for Tingyun?
Whenever Tingyun appears in a featured banner, she should definitely be considered for recruitment. Currently, the only method to acquire her is through random appearances in standard and featured banners. Given the limited chances, it would be wise to wait for her to be highlighted in a future banner to maximize your odds of obtaining her.
