Pokémon GO is set to host its much-anticipated annual Fashion Week event, bringing both fresh Pokémon styles and exciting bonuses to trainers. Since its inception in 2020, Fashion Week has evolved, varying in duration and scheduling over the years. Notably, the event was skipped in 2024 due to scheduling conflicts with other in-game happenings.
During this vibrant event, trainers and Pokémon alike can show off their fashionable flair through unique outfits. While some players may have mixed feelings about the fashion-centric theme, numerous incentives draw participants in. With new Pokémon debuting alongside exclusive items, trainers can take advantage of additional bonuses, such as greater Stardust gains from catching Pokémon. A lineup of engaging new tasks offers a lucrative opportunity to rack up extra XP.
Date of Pokémon GO Fashion Week 2025
Fashion Week Kicks Off on January 10, 2025
Mark your calendars! Pokémon GO’s Fashion Week is scheduled to begin on January 10, 2025, at 10 AM and will run until January 19 at 8 PM. This nine-day celebration makes it the longest Fashion Week event to date, following previous iterations that typically ranged from four to seven days. Interestingly, this extended duration seems to compensate for the absence of a 2024 Fashion Week.
Featured Pokémon Encounters, Raids, and Debuts
New and Returning Pokémon Styles Debut During Fashion Week
Fashion Week will showcase unique wild Pokémon encounters alongside new raid opportunities and several Pokémon making their debut in stylish getups. Trainers can look forward to frequent encounters with Skitty, Buneary, Furfrou, and Bruxish. Additionally, players may discover Diglett and Blitzle sporting fashionable attire in random encounters. For those lucky enough, encounters with the rare fashionably dressed Kirlia will also be possible.
Interestingly, except for Bruxish, all featured Pokémon have a potential Shiny variant available. The event will also introduce one-star and three-star raids, featuring Pokémon such as Shinx and Minccino in fashionable costumes, while the three-star raids will include dressed-up Butterfree and Dragonite, the latter donning stylish sunglasses and a bow tie. All new raid Pokémon will have a chance to present a Shiny version as well.
Moreover, Fashion Week 2025 marks the debut of two Pokémon: Minccino and Cinccino, both in themed costumes, available in both Shiny and standard varieties. Although these are not entirely new Pokémon, their fresh looks bring excitement to the lineup.
Exclusive Bonuses During Fashion Week
Earn Double Stardust and Candy for Pokémon Caught
In addition to fresh Pokémon encounters, Fashion Week also presents significant bonus rewards for players. Each Pokémon captured during this event will yield twice the standard amount of Stardust. Furthermore, players at level 31 or above will enjoy a doubled chance of acquiring Candy XL from their catches.
Stardust is essential for Pokémon upgrades and trading, making the doubled rewards during Fashion Week particularly beneficial for all players. Likewise, Candy XL is crucial for leveling Pokémon beyond level 40, as the current cap has advanced to 50. Players seeking to maximize their level advancement will want to collect these valuable resources.
Research Rewards During the Event
Engage in New Research for Extra XP and Guaranteed Encounters
During Fashion Week, trainers will have access to new themed Field Research tasks designed to provide extra XP, Stardust, and encounters with exclusive event Pokémon. Players can also purchase tickets for themselves or friends to enable participation in Timed Research.
Timed Research tickets are priced at $5.00 and offer access to unique tasks throughout Fashion Week, boasting more substantial rewards than regular Field Research. Participating trainers can earn 3,500 XP, 3,500 Stardust, and obtain an exclusive runway pose for their Trainer avatars. Additionally, guaranteed encounters with a fashionable Dragonite and Minccino await those who dive into Timed Research. To make the most of this limited-time opportunity, players should aim to start as soon as the event kicks off on January 10.
