Within the Halo Survive the Undead playlist, players are faced with an exhilarating yet difficult challenge. Securing perks is essential to effectively fight off the undead foes.

There are three classifications of perks you can earn: Health, Damage, and Speed. Each category can be improved across four tiers, with each upgrade requiring 600 points. Upon death, all perks reset, necessitating their repurchase. Here’s a detailed look at the perks:

Health Perk

  • Tier 1: Increases Health by 25%
  • Tier 2: Boosts Health by 10%
  • Tier 3: Enhances Health by 5%
  • Tier 4: Grants Vampirism

Speed Perk

  • Tier 1: 100% Reload Speed + 10% Movement Speed
  • Tier 2: 50% Melee Recovery + 10% Movement Speed
  • Tier 3: 10% Movement Speed + 10% Slide Speed
  • Tier 4: 10% Movement Speed + 10% Sprint Speed

Damage Perk

  • Tier 1: 100% Damage Boost
  • Tier 2: 100% Damage Boost
  • Tier 3: 100% Damage Boost + 100% Melee Impulse
  • Tier 4: 100% Damage Boost + 50% Melee Damage

Maps

Initially, the Halo Survive the Undead playlist was part of the Combat Workshop, but it has now become an official playlist with three available maps:

  • Installation of the Dead
  • Night of the Undead
  • Countdown of the Dead

Additionally, players can earn Bonus Drops while combating the undead on these maps, enhancing their chances of victory.

Bonus Drops

There are four distinct Bonus Drops you can encounter in the game. These include Boom, Spray & Pray, Mounted & Loaded, and Score Attack. They become available as you take down enemies and are announced via a voice line. Below is an explanation of each drop:

Boom

  • Effect: Instantly eliminates all AI opponents, rewarding each player with 400 points. This drop also benefits from the Score Attack.
  • Strategy: Best used in critical situations.

Spray & Pray

  • Effect: Disables shields from all enemies, rendering them one-shot kills for 30 seconds.
  • Strategy: Most effective against bosses.

Mounted & Loaded

  • Effect: Refills ammunition for all squad members.
  • Strategy: Use this when team ammo dwindles.

Score Attack

  • Effect: Doubles points from kills for 30 seconds; effects can stack. Note that this drop increases the points received from the Boom drop.
  • Strategy: Collect as soon as possible for the highest benefits.

Purchasing Combat Items

The Player Buy Back feature can be found in the spawn area of Halo Survive the Undead. It allows for the revival of fallen teammates and grants an overshield to the activating player. Additionally, players will find the Ammunition Wall Buy in the spawn as well.

An intriguing mechanic is the Point Sharing Wall Buy, located in the second territory of each map. This feature permits players to share their points equally amongst the team and costs 2,000 points to utilize.

Weapon Upgrade Machines, which can enhance weapon capabilities, are also present in the spawn area and cost 1,000 points to use. Furthermore, Wall Buys can be found throughout Halo Infinite’s Operation Halloween, showcasing available purchasable items.
