Ultimate Guide to Defeating Raditz in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero

Ultimate Guide to Defeating Raditz in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero

Facing Raditz in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero marks one of your initial boss encounters within the game. In the overarching narratives of the manga and anime, Goku combats Raditz at the onset of Dragon Ball Z, which also introduces the Saiyan saga. Raditz, Goku’s biological sibling, discloses that Goku is not entirely human but hails from a distinguished warrior lineage known as the Saiyan race.

In keeping with the tradition of various Dragon Ball titles, Sparking Zero challenges players with a battle against Raditz right from the start. This encounter can prove to be quite formidable, especially for those unfamiliar with effective strategies for overcoming him. This guide will explore tactics that can assist you in defeating Raditz in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero.

The fundamental tactic to take down Raditz involves quickly triggering Sparking Mode and maximizing its benefits. Begin the showdown by charging your Ki. Once your Ki is sufficiently charged and your Skill Count progress bar in the upper-left corner is filled, activate Sparking Mode without delay.

After entering Sparking Mode, employ the Z-Burst Dash to maneuver behind Raditz by holding the Ki Charge button and double-tapping the Dash button. Raditz has a talent for evading long-distance attacks, making it crucial to close the distance between you and him.

Once you find yourself behind him, unleash a series of Rush Attacks and aim for a 20-hit combo. Raditz will break free from the combo after the 20th hit, providing the perfect chance to strike with a Super Kamehameha.

Following your Super Kamehameha attack, quickly recharge your Ki to enter Sparking Mode again and repeat the assault. Due to Raditz’s swiftness, landing hits from afar can be difficult, so strive to close in whenever possible. This strategy encompassing the Z-Burst Dash, 20-hit combos, and the Super Kamehameha is effective for rapidly depleting Raditz’s health, ultimately allowing you to unlock an alternate storyline.

If you opt for a solo approach, Goku will confront Raditz alone without Piccolo’s assistance. Abilities such as Meteor Smash and Kamehameha can be quite beneficial when Raditz’s health is diminished. These medium-range techniques are particularly useful when Raditz attempts to retreat or dodge your attacks. However, Goku’s Solar Flare move is not particularly effective in this encounter, so prioritize physical combos and powerful attacks. Successful execution will unlock an alternate narrative path.

Conversely, if you choose to fight with Piccolo, you must defeat Raditz within 1 minute and 30 seconds to access the alternate storyline. Utilize Piccolo’s distractions to charge Ki or engage Sparking Mode. If you take an extended period to defeat Raditz, the fight will revert to the canonical storyline, leading to Piccolo having to eliminate both Raditz and Goku.

Ensure that your game difficulty is set to Normal or higher. The alternate storylines can only be accessed at Normal difficulty or above, so verify your settings on the Episode Battle page. If you encounter excessive challenges, consider utilizing the Dragon Orb to decrease the difficulty of specific tasks, allowing you to successfully defeat Raditz in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero while still unlocking the alternate narrative path.
