As you explore the enchanting world of Heartopia, you might be captivated by the diverse insect species that inhabit the town. Engaging in insect catching is not only a calming pastime but also a rewarding way to earn Gold while fulfilling various Life Log missions. With dozens of insects to collect throughout the game, there’s always a new challenge waiting around the corner.
One of the more elusive insects players face is the Purple Emperor. This particular insect needs to be located on Day 12 of the New Life Log, and catching it can be quite the challenge. The vastness of Heartopia combined with the Purple Emperor’s selective spawning locations and specific weather requirements can initially lead to some frustration. However, with the right knowledge of where and when to look, you can significantly improve your chances. Below, we will provide a detailed guide to help you successfully hunt for the Purple Emperor in Heartopia.
Finding the Purple Emperor in Heartopia

On Day 12 of your journey, players will receive the mission to catch a Purple Emperor. Notably, the game specifies that the Purple Emperor you catch must possess at least a two-star rarity.
Before you embark on your quest, it’s crucial to ensure that your Insect Catching hobby is at least level three. Without reaching this level, catching a Purple Emperor will not be possible. If you haven’t achieved this level yet, focus on capturing insects that are currently available to you, as this will help you level up your hobby more easily.
The Purple Emperor can primarily be found in either Flower Field or Whale Mountain. However, there’s a catch: it only appears during sunny or rainbow weather, and only between 12 PM and 12 AM. Your first step is to navigate to a bus stop and fast travel to one of these locations to kick off your bug-catching adventure.
