However, what if your beloved Zois have already made themselves at home in other cities like Dowon or Bliss Bay? The good news is that this latest update to the base game also introduces a much-anticipated feature: the ability for Zois to move between different cities for the first time.
Like many features in inZOI’s early access phase, this city relocation option is experimental and may be prone to occasional glitches. Nevertheless, players can embark on this journey, provided they accept a few important stipulations. After all, who wouldn’t trade a bit of uncertainty for a dreamy getaway?
Steps to Relocate Cities in inZOI
To initiate the process of moving your Zoi to another city, simply have them interact with a computer and select the option titled “Learn how to get to another city“.
Keep in mind that players will need to have a minimum of M5, 000 in funds in order to access this feature. If your Zoi’s funds are below this amount, the travel option will not be available. The requirement likely ensures that players can cover accommodation expenses upon arriving at their new location (more on that below).
Upon interacting with the computer, a series of brief tutorials will appear, detailing the essential guidelines for moving between cities in inZOI:
- During travel, you will be unable to access your Zoi’s relationships with residents from their home city (except for family members).However, these connections will be reestablished upon their return—if they choose to go back. Relocating permanently to the new city is still an option.
- If you switch to a different household during your Zoi’s travels in the original city, the data for your travelling household will be erased. It’s currently unclear whether this means they won’t be able to return home or if they will also vanish from the new city. It’s wise to exercise caution.
- Time will pass only for the travelling Zois, so if they are away for several in-game weeks, they may come back to find that their local neighbors have not changed at all!
You will then need to confirm your intention to travel with the current household and complete a delightful travel checklist. This checklist ensures that you have comprehended the preceding rules. Once you agree to everything, you’ll be instantly transported to your chosen city.
Exploring Cahaya: Tips for Your Vacation
Your Zois may have arrived in Cahaya, or even Dowon or Bliss Bay, as the travel feature is not restricted to just the new area. But what comes next?
This aspect can get complicated. While your Zois are on what should be a temporary excursion, the game’s current functionality does not seem to treat it that way. The silver lining is that you have the flexibility to convert this vacation into an extended stay if desired. However, it may be somewhat frustrating to note that checking into resort accommodations in Cahaya requires you to invest in real estate in the city—essentially buying a new house prior to settling in.
Thankfully, there are a few empty plots available on Main Island in Cahaya, priced at M2, 000 and M3, 000, which should be within reach since players must have at least M5, 000 before traveling. Consider purchasing one of these lots before heading over to the Resort Island and selecting vacation accommodations, which can range from M1, 000 to M2, 500 per night based on the level of luxury you prefer. It becomes clear why having a minimum of five grand is essential before contemplating a getaway!
Unlike Dowon or Bliss Bay, Cahaya offers temporary holiday homes. If relaxation is your objective, you can easily check your Zois into one of the holiday rentals available at the Sri Lestari Resort Lobby on Resort Island via the kiosk at the front desk.
If you choose to venture to one of the other cities, you will need to invest in a new permanent residence and remain content to operate from that location throughout your stay.
