UFC Vegas 90: A Breakdown of the Main Event – Brendan Allen vs. Chris Curtis

In December 2021, Brendan Allen and Chris Curtis faced off for the first time, and ‘Action-Man’ came out on top with a second-round TKO. Now, three years later in 2024, ‘All In’ is fresh off a third-round submission victory against Paul Craig in November of last year, which also marked his first main event in the UFC. Currently, he has an impressive streak of six consecutive wins, five of which were secured through submissions.

Following his split decision victory against Marc-Andre Barriault at UFC 297 in January, Curtis remains eager to compete and has become known for accepting short-notice fights. He will now replace Marvin Vettori and continue his pursuit of a third consecutive win as ‘Action-Man’.

In the co-main event of UFC Vegas 90, Alexander Hernandez and Damon Jackson will go head to head in a featherweight showdown. Hernandez, also known as ‘The Great Ape’, is looking to bounce back from his previous loss against Bill Algeo in October where he was defeated by unanimous decision. On the other hand, Jackson, nicknamed ‘The Leech’, is determined to turn his luck around after facing defeats last year against Billy Quarantillo by unanimous decision and Dan Ige by knockout.
