UFC Vegas 90: Anti-Doping Test History database – How many times have Brendan Allen and Chris Curtis been tested?
The combined total of three performance-enhancing drug tests have been conducted on the UFC Vegas 90 headliners.
On Saturday, April 6, the UFC will come back to the APEX facility in Las Vegas, Nevada, after making a stop in Atlantic City. The main event will feature the sixth-ranked middleweight, Brendan Allen, who will aim to continue his six-fight winning streak.
Allen was originally set to face Marvin Vettori, who withdrew from the fight due to an injury. Consequently, Chris Curtis, ranked fourteenth in the middleweight division, stepped in on short notice with the chance to solidify his position as a possible contender.
Based on information from the UFC Anti-Doping database, which currently only includes data from 2024, Allen has undergone one test, while Curtis has undergone two tests. At the start of the year, the UFC ended their partnership with USADA due to multiple disagreements, including the rejection of Conor McGregor’s return.
Heading into UFC Vegas 90, Allen will have even more determination to come out on top. In December 2021, Curtis and ‘All In’ faced off at the APEX, resulting in a second-round knockout victory for the former.
Thus, a victory on Saturday would not only contribute to Allen’s impressive collection of achievements, but also serve as retribution for one of the two flaws in his UFC career.
The High Stakes Battle Between Brendan Allen and Chris Curtis at UFC Vegas 90
As previously stated, Brendan Allen is currently on a six-fight winning streak, with five of those victories resulting in finishes. The 28-year-old’s most recent bout took place in November 2023, where he defeated Paul Craig in a main event by submitting him in the third round.
Despite ending 2023 on a negative note with losses against Kelvin Gastelum and a no-contest against Marc-Andre Barriault, Chris Curtis was able to redeem himself on Jan. 20 at UFC 297 with a split decision win against Marc-Andre Barriault.
At UFC Vegas 90, Allen, known as the Kill Cliff FC product, has the opportunity to solidify his position as a top middleweight contender. Meanwhile, ‘The Action Man’ could elevate himself into the top ten rankings and distinguish himself from other fighters in the 185-pound division.
During Saturday’s co-main event, Alexander Hernandez and Damon Jackson are looking to bounce back and regain their momentum as they face off in a featherweight matchup.
