Platform and Accessibility Enhancements

The South Korean version of AION 2 was exclusively designed for mobile platforms, with access on PC only through NC’s proprietary Purple launcher. In contrast, the global edition has been specifically tailored for PC users and will also be available on Steam. Players can now add the game to their wishlist on Valve’s store, enhancing accessibility for fans across various platforms.

Game Features and Content

Seunguk Baek, the Chief Business Officer at NC America, stated:

AION 2 has continuously updated its content and services, listening closely to the community to elevate the player experience. We want to bring that same level of dedication, community responsiveness, and gameplay quality to players around the world.

The storyline unfolds over 200 years after the original AION and expands the game’s universe to a size that is 36 times larger. Aerial combat remains a focal element; every zone and PvP encounter is meticulously crafted around flight mechanics, enhancing the overall gameplay.

Players can choose from eight distinct classes, representing the complete Holy Trinity (Cleric, Templar, Gladiator, Ranger, Assassin, Sorcerer, Spiritmaster, and Chanter), with a manual skill system that excludes auto-combat features.

Content offerings include over 200 dungeons playable in solo or group formats (4-player, 8-player, and up to 200-player raids), along with an expansive Abyss open world that features large-scale PvP factions of Elyos versus Asmodians, arenas, and 3D aerial battlegrounds.

Additionally, we recently had the opportunity to interview NC America CEO Jeonghee “JJ” Jin about AION 2 and other forthcoming titles, including Horizon Steel Frontiers and Cinder City.
