When working with family or clients across various time zones, it’s crucial to stay informed about their local time. Fortunately, Windows provides convenient options to add multiple clocks, allowing you to easily track different time zones. This comprehensive guide outlines various methods to set up additional clocks in Windows, streamlining your time management across the globe.
Adding Clocks via Windows Settings
Windows allows you to add up to two additional clocks beyond your local time. To get started, navigate to Windows Settings by selecting Time & language followed by Date & time. Alternatively, you can simply right-click the current date and time displayed on your taskbar and choose Adjust date and time. Within this menu, look for the section labeled Show time and date in the System tray.

Here, you will find two entries: Additional clock 1 and Additional clock 2. Click the Change button next to either clock to choose a specific time zone and designate a display name.

After configuration, hovering your mouse over the date and time in the system tray will reveal these additional clocks. You can also click on the date and time to view them within the Notification Center.

Pinning Time Zones to the Start Menu
If you require visibility of more than two time zones, the Windows Clock app is an ideal solution. You can add multiple time zones and conveniently pin them to your Start menu for rapid access. Here’s a step-by-step guide:
Begin by searching for the Clock app using Windows Search. In the left-hand panel, select World clock, then click on the + icon labeled Add a new city.

You can then choose your desired time zones by city name—simply select the city and click on Add. Repeat this process to include as many time zones as needed.

For swift access, you can right-click on any time zone and choose Pin to Start. This action will create a shortcut on your Start menu, allowing you to directly access the World clock feature, where all your selected time zones will be displayed.

Utilizing the Windows Widgets Board for Time Zones
For quick access to multiple clocks, consider adding a world clock widget to the Windows Widgets board. You can easily hover over the Widgets section in your taskbar to see the clocks along with other widgets. Even if you’ve customized your taskbar to hide Widgets, simply press Win + W to quickly open it and check the clocks.
We recommend the Globe Time Widget, which allows you to add unlimited time zones for free. After installing the widget, click the + (Plus) icon in the Widgets Board, select Globe Time, and choose Pin.

Once added, you can click the dots menu to select Customize widget, enabling you to add or remove time zones as needed.

The widget displays three time zones at once; if you add more, you can click the arrows below to cycle through them. The three displayed clocks will be set as the default views whenever you open the Widgets Board.

Displaying Clocks on the Windows Desktop
If you prefer to have a visual overview of time across various zones on your desktop, consider adding clocks using the Widget Launcher app. This app allows you to reintroduce the classic Windows 7-style desktop widgets, specifically the World Clock widget, which can host up to five clocks.
Upon installation, choose the World Clock widget where you can customize various features, including color and opacity settings for backgrounds, borders, and fonts. After personalizing, click Launch Widget to place it on your desktop.

You can move and resize the clock as desired, which will display local time by default. To configure it for other time zones, click on the Settings (gear icon) on the clock and select your preferred time zone. Repeat the procedure to add up to five clocks on your desktop, representing various locations worldwide.

By employing these methods, you can easily maintain synchronicity with family members and colleagues regardless of their geographical location. For an even more tailored experience, consider exploring Rainmeter, which provides highly customizable clock widgets.
