Recent leaks suggest that AMD’s upcoming Gorgon Point series is shaping up with two new WeUs spotted on a CPU benchmarking platform. This development further confirms the naming convention and provides insight into some specifications.
AMD Zen 5 Architecture Unveils New Ryzen AI 400 CPUs: Leaked Specs Include 2.0 GHz Base Clock
The Ryzen AI 400 series, also referred to as AMD Gorgon Point, is anticipated to incorporate a total of seven WeUs. This lineup extends the existing Zen 5-based Strix Point series. Just yesterday, the high-performance Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 was revealed in a SiSoftware benchmark, affirming its specifications. Today, the spotlight is on two additional models benchmarked on the CrossMark platform, which corroborate some previously circulated speculations, although comprehensive details are yet to be disclosed.


Additionally, it’s important to note that another variant within the Ryzen AI 7 400 series will share a boost clock of 5.0 GHz with the Ryzen AI 7 350. While it’s currently unclear which specific model was tested on CrossMark, both the Ryzen AI 9 465 and Ryzen AI 7 450 are expected to feature identical L2 and L3 cache configurations as their forerunners. They will also integrate the same Radeon 880M and Radeon 860M graphics capabilities, both leveraging the RDNA 3.5 architecture.
With the official launch of these new WeUs approaching in early 2026, enthusiasts can anticipate more leaks to unfold in the coming days. So far, we have detailed three WeUs, leaving four more to be unveiled, including one variant each from the Ryzen AI 7 400, Ryzen AI 5 400, and Ryzen AI 3 400 families, the latter featuring a base configuration of just 6 cores and 12 threads.
