Getting Started

Your journey begins with the “Sacrament”quest, which you can initiate by conversing with the ailing ship captain in the starting area.
As you complete the “Sacrament, ”you will find several possible routes opening up, leading to various side quests. However, the following main quest, “Servant of God, ”presents a higher difficulty level. It is advisable for players at level 6 to explore other quests first before tackling this challenging area (levels 8-11).
Exploring Side Quests and XP Farming

The quest “Of Rats and Raiders”becomes available concurrently with “Servant of God, ”but be prepared for an even steeper difficulty curve, as it leads to higher-level areas. Initially, players engage with raiders in Orban Glade before descending into the Black Trench sewer.
Since the Black Trench is a level 15 zone, it may be necessary to pause the quest until your character is adequately leveled. Consider the following steps to enhance your gameplay:
- Complete daily bounties for Captain Randolph in Sacrament.
- Prioritize other side quests to gain more experience.
- Explore the Crucible to gather valuable loot.
Captain Randolph’s Bounties

Captain Randolph, the guard captain in Sacrament, offers a selection of Daily and Weekly Bounties. Completing these tasks rewards players with loot, experience points (XP), and currency. While daily tasks tend to be straightforward, the weekly bounties may present greater challenges.
Additional Side Quests
The other available side quests are shorter and generally simpler than “Of Rats and Raiders.”Completing these can effectively enhance your XP:
- “The Innkeeper’s Husband”requires you to revisit Mariner’s Keep in search of the town chef, Gordon.
- “The Potion Seller”sends you cave diving to find Iona Blooms. Completing this task unlocks Markos, an alchemist who provides potions.
- “Spilled Blood”functions as a gentle reminder to utilize Plague Ichors to augment your inventory.
- “Spoken and Unspoken”serves as an introduction to Crucible activities.
Discovering The Crucible

The Crucible serves as a roguelite mode, providing an arena to both acquire loot and enhance your skills. Upon reaching the sixth floor, players can explore the Seneschal’s chamber, which contains three chests filled with valuable loot. The Seneschal can also function as a vendor once you unlock certain upgrades, offering unique items not available elsewhere.
This feature is intertwined with the “Spoken and Unspoken”quest and allows players to respec their characters effectively.
