How to Resolve the New Outlook App Launch Issue

For those affected, it is advisable to start with standard troubleshooting approaches. If these steps fail, consider alternative solutions suggested in the aforementioned Reddit thread. One effective method involves deleting two specific subfolders related to the Outlook app: Olk and OneAuth.

Here’s a brief overview of what these folders contain: The Olk folder serves as temporary storage for files downloaded or accessed via emails, acting as a mechanism to prevent duplication. You can find this folder in the %localappdata%\Microsoft directory.

On the other hand, the OneAuth folder maintains temporary data related to authentication processes. Deleting both folders might resolve the startup issue. However, it’s recommended to back them up on another drive beforehand as a precaution.

Follow these steps to delete the folders:

  1. Press Win + R to open the Run dialog.
  2. Type %localappdata%\Microsoft and press Enter.
