Triple H reveals working relationship among Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, and The Rock after the change in WrestleMania plans

WWE’s Chief Content Officer Triple H recently discussed the dynamic working relationship between Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, and The Rock.

At WrestleMania XL, the WWE Universe will witness Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes face off once again on the biggest stage of all. Despite The Great One’s attempt to derail The American Nightmare’s main event spot, the highly anticipated showdown almost didn’t take place.

Despite facing significant backlash from fans, WWE Creative ultimately decided to stick with their original plan. This decision proved to be a fortunate turn of events as it allowed for The Rock to turn heel and ignite an epic rivalry with Cody and Seth Rollins. As a highly anticipated event, Night 1 of WrestleMania XL will feature a monumental tag team match between The People’s Champ and Roman Reigns, facing off against The American Nightmare and The Visionary.

During a recent interview with ESPN, Triple H discussed various behind-the-scenes happenings. The Cerebral Assassin touched upon topics such as the flexibility of plans and the working dynamics between Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, and The Rock.

“We always have to call audibles every single week. Everything you do is dependent on reactions. That’s what we do as an industry. The beautiful thing with this group, and with Cody [Rhodes] and Roman [Reigns], and [The] Rock especially, everybody’s got their ear to the ground. And then we all just get together and figure the s— out!”said Triple H.

The Original WrestleMania Plans for The Rock, Roman Reigns, and Cody Rhodes

After dominating the 30-man Royal Rumble, The American Nightmare secured his spot at this year’s WrestleMania XL. He wasted no time in directing his attention to The Tribal Chief, indicating his decision for the highly anticipated Show of Shows.

The week following the Royal Rumble, The Rock made his comeback on SmackDown and Cody Rhodes proposed that The Great One take his place against Reigns. The WWE Universe was dissatisfied with this choice, causing the company to revert back to their original plan of having Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes as the main event for Night Two of The Showcase of the Immortals.

This weekend, the WWE Universe will witness Reigns and Rock joining forces to take on Seth Rollins and Rhodes on Night One of the event. The outcome of this match will have significant consequences for the Universal Title showdown between Roman and Cody. If Rhodes is unable to secure a victory in the tag team match, their championship clash will be conducted under the stipulations of “Bloodline rules.”
