Trina’s Net Worth: Rapper Reveals No Prenup as Husband Shares All His Earnings

Trina recently shared insights regarding her relationship with her husband and their finances following their marriage. The rapper featured on the All Things Keyshia Ka’oir podcast on October 19, 2024, as part of her promotional tour for her memoir, Da Baddest, which was released on October 8.

Trina tied the knot with Benjamin Leon Kearse Jr. in a private ceremony in May 2024. During her podcast appearance, she expressed that the couple is currently enjoying the honeymoon phase of their marriage, stating that she feels “internally happy.”

When podcast host Keyshia Ka’oir probed about the existence of a prenuptial agreement, Trina disclosed that her husband contributes all his financial resources to her, affirming her role as the financial manager of their household.

“I didn’t. My husband brings all of his money to me, so I’m in charge. He can’t spend a dime without my consent. He can’t spend a dime for nothing unless it goes through me,” she explained.

As per Celebrity Net Worth, Trina boasts a net worth of $6 million, earned through her work as a rapper and television figure. Her spouse, Benjamin Leon Kearse Jr., also recognized as Swurv, works as a real estate agent.

Trina Discusses Future Family Plans with Her Husband

During the podcast, Trina mentioned that her marriage to Swurv has prompted her to reconsider her views on starting a family. At 45, she noted, “Now would be the time”if they choose to have children, elaborating:

“We talk about it a lot. Now would be the time. I’ve been through the whole process of having a kid before, had a miscarriage; it didn’t work. It was the most terrifying thing.”

The rapper previously went through a miscarriage while in a relationship with Lil Wayne from 2005 to 2007. Although they were engaged, the couple broke off their relationship before marrying in 2007.

In an interview with the Tamron Hall Show earlier in October, Trina revealed that her miscarriage put her in a somber mental state, intensified by the loss of her brother in 2013. In her memoir, she discusses her grief and reflects on her inability to mourn the loss of her child at the time, saying:

“I would cry on the road, I would cry on the tour bus, I would cry in a hotel, but I would have to hit the stage that night. I would have to get on a plane that morning, I would have to do whatever I was doing. So it was something that you kind of like swept under the rug. I was so young and I was just, I was hurt.”

She admitted that the miscarriage led to self-blame and doubt regarding her beliefs. The tragic shooting of her 19-year-old brother only deepened her sorrow.

Trina expressed that her life felt overwhelmingly dark until recently, highlighting that her brother’s passing caused her to feel “disconnected from the world.”In addition to this profound loss, she experienced the deaths of two more loved ones: her mother in 2019 after a lengthy battle with cancer, and her 17-year-old niece, who was a victim of a shooting in 2022.

Born Katrina Laverne Taylor, Trina’s rap journey began with her collaboration alongside Trick Daddy on the renowned track Nann N***a in 1998. She released her debut album, Da Baddest B**ch, in 2000, which garnered critical acclaim and was certified gold that November.

Since then, she has launched five more albums, the most recent being The One in 2019. Additionally, Trina has been a prominent figure on the reality series Love & Hip Hop: Miami since its inception in 2018.
