Gurune Gate

Upon entering Grancel, immediately converse with Nonna, located to your right, who is selling delicious crepes, to purchase the Gorgeous Crepe.

Recipes – Refreshing Pie / Mixed Cocktail / Hearty Bouillabaisse

Head to the Sunnybell Inn, located north of the Guild, where you can acquire three new recipes, including another alcoholic beverage suitable for our underage bracers.

Recipe – Special Ice Cream

In the East District, you will discover a stall named Sorbet, where you can buy the Special Ice Cream.

Team up with Joshua to create Special Ice Cream, which will unlock the Brown Sugar Syrup Parfait recipe, a decidedly more indulgent treat!

Book – Liberl News Issue 8

While still in the East District, locate the large green building known as the Edel Department Store. Inside, engage with Lily in the northeast corner to purchase Liberl News Issue 8.

Recipes – Concentrated Espresso / Artisan Rice Curry

Visit the Baral Coffee House situated within the West District block of Grancel to buy an espresso and some rice curry.

Partner with Estelle to prepare an Artisan Rice Curry, and as a bonus, you will learn the Hearty Baked Curry Doria recipe!

On the second day of the tournament, you can explore the Grancel Sewers located in the West Block of the capital. Upon entering, descend the stairs, and you will soon find a chest containing Chewy Spare Ribs. While the sanitation of these ribs is questionable, securing this recipe is crucial.Cooking this alongside its Peculiar Dish variant will reward you with two trophies!

While engaging with Nial at the Liberl News office, ensure to review all the documents presented. During this process, a question will arise where your correct response should be “Colonel Richard”to receive bonus BP.

Shortly after, you will stealthily return to the hotel under the cover of night and receive a task requiring you to approach the cathedral.It’s imperative to avoid detection by the patrolling soldiers; follow the same strategy as utilized in Leiston Fortress.

Keep an eye on the soldiers’ line of sight to succeed in your stealth operation. You can navigate beside them as long as you remain out of their view.I recommend saving your game frequently to avoid setbacks.

Before you proceed, let’s diverge off the main path.

Book – Carnelia Vol.10

As you stealthily move through the capital toward the cathedral during nighttime hours, you will need to traverse the East Block.

Before continuing, head to the Landing Port where you will encounter Ralph on an airship deck. Speak to him to acquire Carnelia Vol.10. Afterward, you can resume the main storyline.

Now, back to your stealth mission.

Upon reaching the South District, you may encounter difficulties. You will need to approach the lower entrance, guarded by three soldiers who will remain stationary until you close in on them.

To get by, wait for the soldiers to close in, then quickly dash past them when they return to their posts. Successfully navigating your way to the cathedral will grant you 5 bonus BP.

By the way, if you’ve completed all side quests and selections correctly thus far, you should achieve Bracer Rank 1 when you deliver the Royal Message quest.

Book – Carnelia Vol.11

After events at the Cathedral and on the day of the final round, Anton in the East District will indicate a sub-event marker.

Although he will offer you a book, you must wait a short time.He states he will hand over the book once a woman named Marsha walks by him three times.

You’ll notice the dialogue icon refreshes and a heart appears above him when this occurs. After the third pass, Marsha will halt just out of his immediate reach.

Speak with her followed by conversing with Anton to receive your final collectible, Carnelia Vol.11. Consider utilizing high-speed mode for efficiency.

Make your way to the Edel Department Store to secure Liberl News Issue 9, the tournament’s special edition.

Be aware that once you advance the main storyline, returning to the city will be impossible, thus marking the end of subquests available in this area. Prepare to venture into the sewers for the remainder of your journey.

Bonus BP – Save the Queen

After executing the rescue mission and following thorough preparations, you will find yourself facing off against Special Ops soldiers, including Duke Dunan.

To acquire 2 Bonus BP, you must win this battle without knocking out Duke Dunan. Remember, if you have already achieved Bracer Rank 1, this requirement does not apply. However, it may be tempting to take him down!

If you are striving toward completing the bestiary, ensure you at least stun the Duke to register him. I recommend caution; my strategy involved using Soul Blur, as it inflicts limited damage while maintaining a high stun probability.

Immediately following Duke Dunan’s battle, you will encounter another fight against Lorence. This victory not only rewards you with bonus BP but also a trophy: defeating Lorence.

Tips for Beating Lorence

This battle is optional—losing will not halt the story progression.However, winning will earn you a silver trophy and bonus BP. Caution: Lorence represents one of the most challenging opponents in Trails in the Sky.

Here are some preparatory tips to bolster your chances. If you’ve reached this point without accumulating power through collecting chests, rare Quartz, specialized accessories, or upgrading gear, it may be challenging since backtracking is not an option.

For those on Normal difficulty or lower, the fight should be manageable. However, on Hard or Nightmare difficulties, anticipate a taxing challenge. With substantial HP and heavy-hitting capability, Lorence may quickly eliminate your weaker party members.

Even under considerable pressure, I found success without casualties in my group. Below is an overview of my party configurations and Orbment setups.

Here are my primary recommendations:

Maintain buffs at all times, utilizing abilities like Clock Up EX, Sylphen Wing, and Earth Wall.
Use Morale with Estelle whenever available to enhance DEF and facilitate CP regen.
If you possess the Gladiator Belt accessory, equip it on Kloe to ensure she has CP available for using her S-Craft, Lichtkreis, in critical moments.
Estelle served as my defensive bulwark, equipped with Sweet Aroma Quartz, enhancing the likelihood of her being targeted, while also outfitted with HP-increasing accessories.
Scherazard was my key buffer and EP restorer—while you can use Heaven’s Kiss when CP allows, I favored Sadist Whip for its chance to Delay Lorence.
With Kloe, focus on using either Arts, Sturm, or Weiss Aura for Foresight (also applied with Sylphen Wing), adjusting based on the turn order.
Whenever feasible, attack as a full party; Estelle emerged as the predominant damage dealer using Barrage, Hard Break, and Burst at every opportunity.

Adopt a slow and steady approach. Keep the trio of powerful women in a triangular formation around Lorence to minimize the risk of his AoE Crafts. Avoid basic attacks, as Lorence can retaliate and counteract your Earth Wall—focus on using Crafts or Arts instead.

By defeating Lorence, you’ll not only achieve the silver trophy but also gain three bonus BP. Continue your journey until you reach the climax of the game.

As you approach the final dungeon, I recommend utilizing the provided screenshots for guidance, as navigating can be somewhat labyrinthine, leading to missed chests.

Remember to check the bottom-left corner of the open map for any remaining unopened treasure icons to ensure nothing is overlooked.

Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter – Final Chapter Chest Locations

Grancel features one open area alongside two intricate dungeons: the sewers and the final dungeon. Navigating them can seem daunting, but worry not; I am here to assist.

Cherry Avenue/Heritage Scenic Route

These two areas are so interlinked that I’ve chosen to provide a single screenshot for guidance. Note that the two undisclosed portions of the map will not contain any chests and will only be charted as you progress to the final dungeon.

Grancel Sewers – West Block

The entirety of Grancel Sewers will connect seamlessly during your exploration. However, I have provided a breakdown based on the order of your visits, beginning with the West Block.

Grancel Sewers – East Block

Subsequently, you will gain access to the East Block. A lever will connect both the West and East areas, integrating the maps for easier navigation.
