Table of Contents
The eagerly awaited second season of Tower of God has finally premiered, yet it seems to have attracted less enthusiasm than season one, which debuted in 2020. This decline in attention could be primarily attributed to the significant time gap between the two seasons. Compounding this challenge is the recent popularity of another South Korean adaptation, Solo Leveling, which has maintained viewer interest, launching its second season just a year after the first.
As of July 7, the new season has been airing continuously and is set to have a total of 26 episodes. Episode 25 is scheduled for broadcast on December 22. However, it’s common for Japanese series to take a break during the last week of the year, suggesting that the season finale might air on January 5, 2025. Viewers can expect potential announcements for future seasons following the conclusion of the current one.
Production Team of Season 2
The personnel changes in the production team could be another factor influencing the audience’s perception of the series. Unlike the first season, which was crafted by Telecom Animation Film, Season 2 is now under the auspices of The Answer Studio. The series is being co-directed by Kazuyoshi Takeuchi and Akira Suzuki. This marks Suzuki’s directorial debut, while Takeuchi has prior experience with projects such as City Hunter The Movie: Angel Dust (2023). Notably, Erika Yoshida returns as the lead writer, maintaining some continuity in the story’s narrative direction.
Synopsis of Tower of God

Those fortunate enough to reach the summit are conferred the title of Ranker, along with several prestigious benefits.
The protagonist, a boy known as Bam (or Night in Korean), has lived a sheltered life until he was abandoned by Rachel, the girl who cared for him.
