TOPC Unveils First Mini PC Featuring AMD Ryzen AI 7 PRO 360, Priced from $362

The exciting new TR9 AI Mini PC marks a significant milestone in compact computing by being the first to feature the Pro Strix Point chip. This device showcases a unique Zen 5-Zen 5c architecture that distinguishes it from other available models.

Introducing the TR9 AI Mini PC: Affordable Yet Powerful

TOPC has unveiled the TR9 AI Mini PC in two configurations: the budget-friendly Ryzen AI 350 model priced at $320 and the more advanced Ryzen AI PRO 360 variant available for $362. The inclusion of Strix Point PRO APUs in these mini PCs is a rarity, with TOPC leading the way by integrating the affordable Ryzen AI PRO 360 into its latest offering, as highlighted by @realVictor_M.

Starting at 2299 Yuan (approximately $320), the entry-level model features the Ryzen AI 7 350 processor. This impressive APU boasts an eight-core, 16-thread configuration with clock speeds reaching up to 3.5 GHz for Zen 5c cores and 5 GHz for Zen 5 cores. In addition, it incorporates budget-friendly Radeon 860M graphics equipped with 8 cores and a clock speed of 3000 MHz, complemented by a dedicated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) that delivers an AI performance of 50 TOPS.

In contrast, the Ryzen AI PRO 360 version, priced at $362, offers a different core layout: three Zen 5 cores and five Zen 5c cores. This setup differs from the Ryzen AI 7 350/PRO 7 350 configuration, which centers around four of each core type. The efficiency of the Zen 5c cores, fabricated on a 3nm process, enables the PRO 360 to effectively manage background tasks—making it a viable option for budget-conscious professionals.

Moreover, the TR9 AI Mini PC’s improved graphics handling can be attributed to the more robust Radeon 880M graphics, which possesses four additional cores compared to the 860M. This enhancement ensures a satisfying experience for both gaming and productivity tasks.

Additionally, the lineup includes models featuring mainstream Strix Point chips, such as the Ryzen AI 9 365 and Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, which offer configurations of 10 and 12 cores, respectively. These advanced models are priced higher, starting at 3799 Yuan and 4199 Yuan, translating to approximately $529 and $585. Though the Ryzen AI 7 350 and Ryzen AI PRO 360 models are more accessible, further details regarding their RAM and storage capacities remain pending.

Since the unveiling of AMD’s Strix Point APUs in the previous year, manufacturers were initially cautious about adopting these new CPUs. However, the industry has progressively embraced them, expanding their portfolios with not just Strix Point APUs, but also the premium Strix Halo chips and cost-effective Krackan Point options.
