Metaphor: ReFantazio features a sophisticated combat system inspired by the press-turn combat mechanics in Shin Megami Tensei. Players are equipped with various tools that enhance their party’s ability to tackle formidable foes, granted they employ the right strategies and character builds.
As players progress through the game, leveling up not only amplifies base stats but also significantly simplifies challenging encounters. For those preparing for the final showdown, discover the top locations to accumulate experience points (XP) during the last month of gameplay.
Optimal Endgame Farming Area Before the Final Dungeon in Metaphor: ReFantazio

For an effective farming location that supports efficient MP management, explore the Spire of Blind Faith, located at the southern tip of the map. In the final month, especially while striving to complete the Trials of the Dragon, players can access higher levels of this tower, which host more challenging monsters. Prepare to encounter numerous Malmorta skeletons, leveled at 67, which are easily defeated with Light and Strike skills.
Additionally, the penultimate floor harbors a level 73 Homo Luano, another ideal target for gaining substantial XP. Unique to this tower is a floor guarded by approximately fifty weaker skeletons, which protect a Faith Magileto. By equipping an Archetype of the Mage lineage, players can restore MP regularly, allowing for continuous grinding regardless of their current level. After defeating Plato at the tower’s summit, utilize the ‘Leave’ option to return to the entrance and respawn all adversaries, enabling repetitive climbs up to Plato as many times as desired.
At the peak of the tower resides the Devourer of Flames, a formidable dragon against whom players must be adequately prepared.
Premier XP Farming Location in Metaphor: ReFantazio

The ultimate destination for XP farming lies within the final dungeon, Tyrant’s Star. Advance to the last area on the second map, just before facing Louis. Here, you will encounter two Melancholia Crystals, each spawning three high-level human adversaries. Once your character reaches a sufficient level to defeat these foes in the open world, these crystals become the premier farming spot, as they summon the highest-level naturally spawning enemies available. Remarkably, the enemies will keep reappearing as long as you refrain from destroying the crystals.
- If you destroy the crystals, they can be respawned by leaving the area and returning.
- Each destroyed crystal yields one Hero’s Leaf of Light.
Alternatively, players can farm A-EXP at the two crystals located at the beginning of this section, particularly in search of the large teeth. Although there is a limit to the respawn rate of these large teeth, they offer the highest A-EXP yield, making them ideal for maxing out Royal Archetypes.
